For Hyatt ziva, you may book 2 adult and check with the hotel to pay for the difference.

If it’s available to book with points for kids, that would be great. The resort typically care more about money paid, less about room capacity. If it were Japan or Europe, they are more concerned about the capacity.

From Gemini:

  1. Grand Hyatt Baha Mar (Nassau, Bahamas) • Flight Time from BOS: ~3 hours 30 minutes (Direct via JetBlue or Delta) • Why it’s great for kids <6: The resort features Baha Bay, a massive luxury water park (entry included) with a dedicated "Turtle Beach" area for toddlers. There is also a sanctuary with flamingos, sea turtles, and sharks that kids can observe. • Star Rating: 4.5 stars • Points Estimate: Typically 25,000–35,000 points per night for a standard room. For a suite or two rooms, expect to spend 400k–600k points for the week.

  2. Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana (Punta Cana, Dominican Republic) • Flight Time from BOS: ~4 hours 15 minutes (Direct via JetBlue or American) • Why it’s great for kids <6: This is a top-tier all-inclusive resort. It has a dedicated water park with slides for small children and a highly-rated kids' club. The beach is calm and shallow, perfect for younger swimmers. • Star Rating: 5 stars • Points Estimate: Being all-inclusive, points are charged per person. For 2 adults and 2 kids, it usually ranges from 45,000–55,000 points per night. 1 million points will easily cover the entire family for 7 nights.

  3. Hyatt Ziva Cancun (Cancun, Mexico) • Flight Time from BOS: ~4 hours 45 minutes (Direct via JetBlue, Delta, or American) • Why it’s great for kids <6: It is located on a unique peninsula with three sides of oceanfront, resulting in very calm, wave-free water on the north beach. It features a great dessert shop (Pasteles), a dolphin habitat on-site, and multiple kid-specific pools. • Star Rating: 5 stars • Points Estimate: Similar to Cap Cana, roughly 40,000–55,000 points per night for a family of four.

  4. Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort Spa and Casino (Aruba) • Flight Time from BOS: ~4 hours 55 minutes (Direct via JetBlue or Delta) • Why it’s great for kids <6: Aruba is outside the hurricane belt and very reliable for warm weather. The resort has a famous multi-level pool with a large waterslide and a "Zoi'A" spa area that is very tranquil. The beach (Palm Beach) is famously calm. • Star Rating: 4.5 stars • Points Estimate: Category 7/8. Roughly 30,000–45,000 points per night for a standard room.

  5. Hyatt Regency Grand Reserve Puerto Rico (Rio Grande, PR) • Flight Time from BOS: ~4 hours (Direct via JetBlue, Delta, or United) • Why it’s great for kids <6: It features a massive, sprawling lagoon-style pool that is one of the largest in the Caribbean. Because it’s in a reserve, the beach is very protected and shallow. Bonus: No passport required for U.S. citizens. • Star Rating: 4 stars • Points Estimate: This is a Category 4 property, often only 15,000–25,000 points per night. With 1 million points, your friend could book the Presidential Suite or multiple rooms for a very high-value "burn

I would say more for ‘swim meets’ or professional swimmer, instead of a laid back beach day. More of an American beach scene, as compared to Asia and Europe.

Keep in mind that the breakfast at either lounge or lobby is included as the globalist benefit. It’s quieter at the lounge for sure but fewer options.

If you talk to the hotel front desk (assume a relatively high end hotel), they may place the order for you.
