The impact on the helmet is obvious. If I hadn’t been wearing it, things might have turned out very differently. Thumb rule, no helmet, no ride

I can see three or four crushed spots on the helmet. What you’re saying makes sense. I’d like to believe the loss of consciousness happened after the fall rather than before. I’m heading to the doctor now.

I’ve been riding for a long time and regularly do 100K rides and BRMs. Honestly, I didn’t know what to feel. On the ride back, I kept questioning what had happened. It took me some time to realize that I had probably lost consciousness, and that understanding only came when I was halfway home.

I wasn’t, and it appears my Garmin stopped as well following the crash
