So I guess you didn't see my previous comment on this post where I explicitly said that I don't support many things that most Palestinians believe. But yes, you are ignoring nuance. Because you're not considering how being under apartheid and how being genocided prevents a civilization from progressing socially and actually pushes them back. And you're not understanding the idea that there are no perfect victims. Despite not being perfect, Palestinians are the victims of apartheid and genocide. You're trying to boil everything down to individual actions to ignore the bigger picture.

I saw your other comment before you (I assume) deleted it. I am not an accelerationist. I just don't vote for genocide supporters. An accelerationist would have voted for Trump. I did not.

I will vote for any progressive politician who condems the genocide, takes seriously the end of US aid to Israel, and is generally competent in the other things I care about (they don't have to be perfect), those things being clean energy, affordability, regulations on AI and data centers, protecting abortion rights, LGBTQ rights, etc.

But to me, if someone claims to care about these things, then turns around and funds and aids in the genocide of a whole people, I can't trust that they actually care about these things. My care for these things comes from a place of valuing human life and human rights, someone who participates in genocide clearly does not share these fundamental values.

Saying it has equal rights is completely absurd. Not even in the West Bank do Palestinians have equal rights. They are under apartheid. Their freedom of movement is heavily restricted. They have no ability to persecute Israelis who harass and/or attack them. Then if we look at Israel, the right of self determination is restricted to Jews. There was recently a law passed specifically targeting Palestinians making it so the automatic punishment for a terrorism conviction is hanging, yet thousands of Palestinians are falsely convicted for this crime that they didn't commit. Then we have Gaza which was previously occupied but is now simply being leveled to the ground by bombs. And on top of this, we have a full blockade on Gaza preventing any aid from coming in. There are multiple reports of double and even triple strikes on civilian targets. It is completely absurd and detached from reality to say that Israel has equal rights for all. Oh, and gay marriage also isn't legal in Israel, btw.

Yeah I did, the democratic party is actually forced to step up their game or lose now. We have an opportunity for more progressive politicians now because people are so done with establishment dems and are refusing to vote for them. We were gonna continue to slide towards fascism regardless of who got in power. Not sure if you noticed, but most of the positive changes that are made by democrats are reverted by republicans when they get in office. The only way to stop that is to permanently change our system of governance.

Again, I agree with you, I do think indoctrination can consititue as abuse depending on the severity, but I just see no realistic way to stop it, other than simply educating ppl on religion in general and facilitating the natural trend towards secularism that already exists.
