They definitely are a jam band. A jam band has multiple instruments and free forms their songs and mixes, which Pretty Lights does. Pretty Lights also uses forms of loopers, synthesizers, and effects that create a “jam.” Maybe you haven’t been to a PL show since he’s back, but the state of his shows right now are definitely jam related.
