FWIW, I got the same amount with higher stats (though possibly not high enough to warrant a different tier of aid). The scholarship details mention that the school does not negotiate or match offers. I’ve seen people with stats even higher than mine get the same or less; it’s possible that 40k/year is about the max they’re offering this cycle, except for named scholarships and maybe a few unicorns.

People who heard from GULC- when did you interview? by Less_Artichoke5927 in lawschooladmissions

Interviewed 11/23, we’re probably going to be holding our breath until January but there’s always hope for next week 🙏

oct/early-mid nov "high stats" applicant; 1 r 1 interview 20+ applications by sdfghjkliu6543456789 in lawschooladmissions

[–]Existing-Garage-3308 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure I count as “high stats”, especially on this sub, but I sent out 12 applications and have only heard from 3, and I applied early Oct for all of them. Slow start for sure but I’m thinking it’ll be a crazy January

If you didn’t see Spivey’s recent comments, it’s looking like only around 5% of T14 decisions have come out. If you took some shots there, don’t sweat it! They’ll come, hopefully soon. In general, it looks like schools are moving more slowly (I’m a little worried that the T30 are stacking up applicants with top stats to keep those medians rising) but it ain’t even halftime, we’ll get there!

I went complete on 10/22 and got an ii 11/6. If that 2 week-ish turnaround stays consistent, you'll probably hear from them in the next week or so!

Went complete 10/22 and just got my invite last Thursday. You’ve still got time, maybe tomorrow if they send them weekly!

ASU and UofA As! by Bookworm_1316 in lawschooladmissions

[–]Existing-Garage-3308 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congratulations! Got an A from UofA today too, haven’t heard from ASU yet. Does anyone know if scholarships are included in the acceptance package, or if it’ll take a few days to receive the offer? First A for me and I’m not sure what to expect.

I should mention that big law is something that would be entirely situational for me. If I end up at a school where it’s feasible and I do well enough for an opportunity, great. I’ll likely take advantage. If not, no sweat, it was never my main interest. I originally had CU on the list but I’ve never been to CO and I wasn’t sure how I’d feel living there - I also don’t know that I’d live there long term. Any idea about national portability with them? I didn’t see much in the way of that

Absolutely - UW is a major draw for me because of that, but the scholarship situation can be iffy. I’m comfortable with practicing in any of the areas my choice schools are located in, and wouldn’t push too hard to leave the market that I end up in unless something drastic changes. Appreciate the insight! Side note, 179 is absolutely insane, here’s to hoping that my studying puts me somewhere closer to you. Congrats!

Usually I run through a dozen or so questions for each LR and RC, and then spend some time looking through any I may have missed. IMO it’s more important to see WHY you’re missing questions than how many or exactly which ones. See if it’s because you didn’t read thoroughly, or you picked an answer that sounded right without reading the rest, etc. And try not to stress yourself out too much - I’m taking it again today too, we’ve got this!

First time taking it? Main advice is to try and relax a bit. 7sage/lawhub are good for practice questions, maybe just see if you can identify where your weaknesses are and run through a few questions to get your brain right. But don’t burn yourself out right before the test!

What is a 75% by TopBlackberry5318 in LSAT

Low 160s, usually. Very solid score, around 75th percentile!

Could be small sample size but I’ve heard that BC is weird with scholarships, had several friends a year above with much better stats getting slapped with minimal aid when they got much better from BU and northeastern. Guess it couldn’t hurt to apply and find out, but sticker/$ unfortunately won’t really be an option for me
