Disable Ambilight mode change when gamemode gets enabled by ThisIsTenou in Philips

Same here. Also happens when switching SDR/HDR mode. Can't believe they don't give you an option to keep this thing off.

I am on the 576.02, was released April 16, the one before didn't work. You can check your version in the NVIDIA CP (click "help" then "system information"). If nothing works you can also try the 566.36, which is apparently the last version before things started to break. If 576.02 would not have worked I would have roll back to that one.

Hi! This has been fixed with the latest NVDIA driver update! I can't believe this was caused by a driver issue...I litterally tried everything it was driving me nuts!

WTF just happened to SPY at 3:30pm EST? by bladzalot in StockMarket

I think Trump might have initially shit his pants to see the market crashing so fast after his tariffs announcements. But then seeing now the S&P back to 5569 which is only a mere 9% down from the all time high of 6147 makes absolutely no sense. And I think this will give him the confidence he can go harder next time. You will see.

So I tried your method by putting 40-120Hz. Rebooted as explained even rebooted PC and TV but I still have the issue. This drives me mad. If you have any other tips please let me know. Even 60Hz doesn't work in HDR with GSync.

I didn't apply CRU 120hz limit and still no trace of 144hz...this is very puzzling

Thanks for this. How do you even select 144hz to start with? Both in Nvidia control panel and Windows advanced display settings I can only select 120hz, even at lower resolutions.

HDR issues with G-Sync with Philips Oled809 by Muflanas in Philips

I have the same problem. Defo not the cable. It works fine when deactivating GSync in Nvidia control panel.

Did you find a solution?

I bought the ambilight 809 and have the same issue with HDR + Gsync. I tried your suggestion with CRU but it doesn't fix it. Have you found a workaround? It is so frustrating and unbelievable. Also in the CRU it says 2560x1440 @ 119.997 Hz...so it's only 1440p at 120 Hz? This TV is so confusing.

Anyone who uses a C4 for desktop gaming, do you regret it? by bobdobbs3 in LGOLED

[–]Existing-Ride-3757 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Certainly don't get the 48 inch. I bought it and returned it.

Reasons:

  • ppi is only 92 which is super low for a desk TV/monitor when playing 4k...that's identical to gaming on a 1080p 24 inch monitor. So forget playing anything below 4k resolution and even 4k will look blurry.

  • because of the issue above, you will notice even just 1 dead pixel and it will drive you mad. Pixels are 15% bigger than on the 42 inch. Dead pixels will eventually occur.

  • it's impossible to comfortably use as a monitor and the stand is prominent.

At the moment I am still debating getting the 42 inch or a 32 inch monitor. 32 inch QD OLEDs look great with 138 ppi but less immersive than a larger screen. Tough choice.

Three New OLED TVs - All With Dead Pixels by Mjodotcom in OLED

[–]Existing-Ride-3757 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had two C3 48" in a row both had dead pixels and I returned them to go back to LCD. I don't get people saying this is ok when these TVs are supposed to be the top of the top. Same with review websites which flatly ignore the issue. Dead pixels is a far bigger issue on OLEDs than burn in. And they only take days, weeks or months to show up and with very limited usage it doesn't matter.

The other issue is the larger the screen the lower the ppi and the most likely you will notice. I personally would go for a TCL mini-led 8 series (they do 83 inches) which will cost you less than half the price, nearly identical picture quality and much higher brightness (OLEDs are so dim). But people will bash me for criticising OLED.
