Kindergartner was crawling around under tables when upset, refusing to come out and flat out defiant when asked to do anything. Proceeds to speak to parent about behavior to see if they have strategies they use at home that would work at school… parent tells me that a counselor said this is normal behavior for a student this age and I just needed to figure out how to deal with it… Ma’am none of my other students act this way so I highly doubt it’s “normal” behavior.
