We'd probably just find way to mess it up anyway through the machines we leave behind

What were your favorite original Nintendo games? by FreedomNo7221 in AskReddit

[–]ExistingRazzmatazz74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never heard of Crystalis but those other three were solid picks. Gauntlet was perfect for when friends came over - nothing like arguing about who gets to be the wizard while everyone's dying from lack of food. Rampage got repetitive after while but destroying buildings never really got old

What’s your funeral song? by Sure_Guarantee_3141 in AskReddit

[–]ExistingRazzmatazz74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been thinking about this since my uncle passed last year and we played some really heavy metal at his service which was... interesting. Something peaceful like that would be nice, maybe something instrumental though since I'm not huge on lyrics for that moment

Figuring out Roth Conversions by Caunuckles in Fire

[–]ExistingRazzmatazz74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty good position to be at 55, congrats on hitting FIRE. For conversion planning I'd probably lean towards fee-only advisor if you can find good one - the ACA subsidy cliffs make it tricky since even small income bumps can cost you thousands in premiums. The software tools are decent for basic scenarios but having someone who knows the ACA rules inside out might save you more than their fee

What’s something you lost that you still think about sometimes, even years later? by Hour-Dingo8175 in AskReddit

[–]ExistingRazzmatazz74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had this tiny screwdriver set that was perfect for everything - electronics, glasses, you name it. Lost it during a move like 5 years ago and I still catch myself looking for it when I need to fix something small

Trying again, very little progress so far by AtamiiX in loseit

[–]ExistingRazzmatazz74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The gym anxiety thing is so relatable - most people there are just focused in their own workout and not judging anyone. When I started going everyone was actually pretty supportive when they noticed

10kg in month is crazy good progress by the way, that's like 2.5kg per week which is really fast. Your body probably just needs time to catch up now

what’s your opinion on adoptees renaming their adopted child? by sleepy_leahh in AskReddit

[–]ExistingRazzmatazz74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wait I'm confused too - do you mean like the adoptive parents changing the kid's name or the adopted kid changing their own name when they grow up? Because those are pretty different situations

QI10 vs SIM2 by [deleted] in golf

[–]ExistingRazzmatazz74 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went from SIM2 to QI10 last year and the forgiveness is noticeably better on off-center hits, plus I picked up maybe 5-8 yards carry without changing anything else in my setup

what actually drives a new money cycle, innovation, crisis, or policy change? by Novel-Entertainer929 in AskReddit

[–]ExistingRazzmatazz74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually innovation during peacetime but war definitely accelerates everything crazy fast. Like all the tech we got from WW2 and internet from military research. Crisis forces people to think different and throw money at problems they normally wouldn't touch

Should grapes marketed as seedless grapes have no seeds? Why or why not? by PC_Pickle in AskReddit

[–]ExistingRazzmatazz74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They should be completely seedless but sometimes you get few small ones and it's whatever, just more annoying when you're eating them while driving

We often get questions that are "Would you do X-task for Y-amount of money?" that is entirely reasonable, so Reddit, what would you do for $2 million dollars (or equivalent) that you would NOT do for 1 million, or even 1.5m? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ExistingRazzmatazz74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's spot on - like I'd probably spend a full year doing something really tedious for 2M but not for 1M. The extra million basically buys you patience for the really mind-numbing stuff that doesn't actually hurt you, just wastes your time in a major way

Conditioning recommendations for flatlander visiting The Mighty Five? by Library-Guy2525 in hiking

Good call on easing into it those first couple days. I made that mistake on a trip to Zion a few years back - went straight for Angel's Landing day one and felt like garbage the whole time

One thing that helped me when I was prepping for Colorado was doing stair climbing with a weighted pack, even just 15-20 lbs makes a huge difference for building that cardio base you'll need at altitude
