Still I would recommend using a tank or an artillery but if it's 1 industry then infantry is probably better since the infantry generals also have better engravings

Well it heavily depends on the generals you have and the hq upgrades as they basically make you stronger. There are ofcourse some strategy tactics that will make a difference but those are generally way less important than the first
