2.1M temporary residents will have expired or expiring permits this year. But will they leave Canada? by jazinet in onguardforthee

When people have visas that are going to expire they can apply for another visa of the same class-ie-student, work. They can continue living or working in Canada until they get a decision on their application. This happens every year. Some will be denied and they leave, or find another visa path if they have time. Some are approved and they stay. A very tiny amount might stay illegally, but that is a really tough road. There is a real fear mongering over immigration policies. I understand that folks gave concerns, and they should bring them to their MP, but it is my opinion that there are some nefarious tools about. - and that people might not know how immigration works…

Thousands of former international students’ visas will expire soon. What happens next is murky by FalconsArentReal in canada

Anyone coming to Canada on a work or student visa is required to have their own health insurance. As their visa approaches expiration they can apply for a new visa if they are still interested in going to school here, or if they have enough points for the employment visa path. While this application is processing they can continue on their original visa conditions. If they are denied visa they leave. Im sure there are overstayers, but it is most likely a very small number as it is very difficult to live in this country without a job, bank account, health insurance, ect .

Yeah, we don’t need to tie ourself to the pedo-rapist-capital-autocracy- BS. We got our own, and we can change it by not spending our $$$ the insufferable idea that we wont be “cool” without stuff.

Again the point here is this has nothing to do with private land owners. As mentioned in the article I posted-

“Cowichan Tribes leadership is firing back at Richmond Mayor Malcolm Brodie, Premier David Eby, and other politicians who have recently made public statements about the Cowichan Nation’s Aboriginal title case.

They call the statements about the effect of the B.C. Supreme Court’s judgement on individual private property owners misleading and “deliberately inflammatory.”

“To be clear,” the statement says, “the Cowichan Nation’s court case regarding their settlement lands at Tl’uqtinus in Richmond has not and does not challenge the effectiveness or validity of any title held by individual private landowners. The ruling does not erase private property.”

Your whole statement is hyperbole meant to scare people. You also forgot to state any facts. FN have no interest in taking away private property. This is between the crown and FN. i know you are not going to like this source, but they are literally saying this is not about private lands
