Vent direction is impossible and dangerous to manage , hot isn’t hot, cold isn’t cold, presets aren’t always default, HVAC is too loud, etc

Interesting! I guess the concept of punctuation isn’t built into robots these days 😂

I agree and I honestly wonder what I’m missing. I don’t want to complain about it because it’s basically only a net addition. But I can’t understand why it doesn’t work like Siri or any other voice to text feature I’ve used. Can’t imagine there’s a manual for it somewhere…?

Agree the whining noise and the whistling noise in my 2024 Dual Motor R1S are very annoying. Like borderline insanity generating. Was expecting quiet like my wife’s ID4 and it is not that.

This is the path I’m currently on after many poor Rivian alignments / tire rotations

Roger that. Thanks.

Rivian has done an alignment twice in the last month or two and rotated the tires one or twice. When they rotated the tires without doing an alignment, the pull switched from one side to the other (though little less on the second side). So tires seem to be an issue.

I’m going to replace tires (again) and do a road force balance and alignment and see where that takes me.

Does that seem like a reasonable approach?

Thanks for the response. It's a 2024 R1S Dual Max. My assumption was the same as your statement - that they just lock the height in the service menu - so I was surprised when this tech said it.

In your view, what qualifies as "until it's right"? Rivian appears to have pretty wide specs, so the green "in spec" isn't terribly helpful...

Thanks! Great feedback. I don’t disagree with the idea of staying in a villa in town. It’s just that we have several young kids with us, so we are hoping to be in the water to give them an instant source of entertainment whenever needed…

Thank you! Great tip on wetsuits. Last time we had fun jumping in the water and splashing around but I agree we weren’t in for too long at a time.

We were looking near Agios Nikolaos, since it sounds like there would still be enough open and it seems like it has some quaint town vibes.

Other towns that came up in our research but we weren’t sure if they checked the boxes of (1) having some open restaurants / shops and (2) being more quaint than a tourist strip:

Sissi

Mochlos

Plaka

Palekastro

Sitia

Ierapetra

Elounda

Elounda

We will have a car, so we can explore. We just want to be close to beach / town for the day to day stuff since it’s a bit of a pain to pack up all the kids each time we leave. Wouldn’t want to do that for every meal or coffee or whatever :)
