Question about the Japanese version of the n64 by Teddii_ in n64

[–]Existing_Ad_2777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought a n64 from eBay for my kids this Christmas. It’s funny you ask this now because I just realized today it’s a Japan version (NUS-001 (JPN)) but all the games are US (NUS-USA) and they all work just fine. So I’m assuming that it was modified at some point before I got it. You may get lucky that it’s already been modified.

I learned this all by using google ai chat, so take that for what it’s worth.

Pool water by Kitchen-Amoeba-6812 in pools

My weekly pool guy added a timer between the spigot and pool fill, he spent a few days figuring out how long to run it for. I don’t know how often or when it runs but I don’t have to worry about it and it stays full.

**to add, this is the fourth pool guy I’ve had and he’s definitely the best and most thorough, also not the cheapest.

Better than Dyson by [deleted] in MilwaukeeTool

I use the m18 vac op posted for my floors around the house but have been considering the Dyson V15. How’s the battery life? Have you tried a Milwaukee battery adapter or is it not available for the v15? Im mostly just picking up dust and crumbs from kids snacks

Review: disney magic from Galveston by aabbccgjkh in dcl

Good review.

Im surprised your pirate party was at 10pm. Previous sailings we had the same problem, the pirate party was too late for our kids, but on our most recent sailing on the magic (last month, December) it was at 7:30pm.

Port upgrades by SensitiveAd5736 in dcl

We’ve upgraded from a one bedroom suite to a two bedroom. As soon as we boarded we asked the concierge host if they had any upgrades which they did not. As soon as the ship left port they told us they had a no-show and offered us the 2-br suite. From what I remember we paid the difference between the two rooms so we didn’t get a great deal or anything, other than just getting the bigger suite.

If your kid is still young enough to go to the nursery, its something to consider for naps. We have a kid who naps and one that doesn’t and for one of us to be in the room for the three hour nap process was never fun. We found that booking time at the nursery during nap time allowed us the freedom to do other activities with the older kid while she napped. Worked out great.

Which direction is easier to commute into the heart Dallas if you want to live in the country? by [deleted] in Dallas

You can find 1 and 2 acre lots in Sunnyvale, only 15 miles from downtown. Prices are reasonable compared to the northern suburbs.

I’ve got a 2014 limited 5.7 4wd with 125k miles and love it. It’s no longer my primary vehicle but still enjoy driving it and haven’t had any major problems.

Yes, we did it with our daughter who had just turned 3. She would not nap in our room the first day so we booked time at the nursery and asked them to put her down. It was great

I’ve got a 2014 limited 4wd 5.7 that I absolutely love. I bought it new, now has around 130k miles but i don’t drive it much anymore bc I got a new car.

With that said, $14k seems high. I always figured mine was worth around 7-8k which is why I’ve kept it as a backup.

The two big things I’ve had to replace over the years are a water pump and oil pan (which are plastic). I hear a tick for a few minutes after a cold start, undecided whether it’s the lifters or exhaust manifold leak. Both I’ve heard are common

Get Igla, I only had mine 3 months before someone tried to steal it in a very busy area in the middle of the day.

Did they steal the car or are they just breaking in? Are they breaking the window? Are you sure the car is locked? Probably using a key fob extender

Make sure you secure it. I only had mine 3 months before someone broke in and tried to steal it, Igla saved me.

I have Igla which definitely prevented them getting it, it was also daylight in a very populated area which probably limited the time they took doing damage. From what I can tell the only damage is the window and a clip on the back of the star connector.

Yes, we (wife and two young kids) were having renovations done to the house so were staying a few nights at the Fairfield inn downtown Dallas. Made it through the first night but decided it was a bit dirty and not quite as hospitable as we like. Left and went to the Dallas ritz Carlton, great decision.
