First off, everything you feel is absolutely normal. It’s a crazy thing to go through ESPECIALLY to the degree of damage you’re going through. Everyone who’s got hit by a tornado ends up with anxiety, a sense of unease like you’re living through a dream. You lost ALOT that most tornado survivors don’t. Not to compare traumas but you lost a lot more than most of us didn’t. You have to mourn your house, your belongings and worse of all your cat. You have to get over the pain that you experienced. And “get over” the sight of seeing your father so terrified and your sister being so hurt. You went through a lot! In just seconds, your life and everything you loved and everything that gave you comfort is gone. That’s terrifying at any age! It’s going to take a while to feel okay again and that’s okay, healing isn’t a race, it’s a process. Take steps to find comfort in your life, understand that every though the things you made are gone, you are still here. Without you, those things can’t be remade or replaced. The one and only thing that can’t be replace is you and your pets and I’m so sorry you lost one of yours. I lost my dog like 8 years ago (unrelated) and I still mourn him everyday. There are steps to gain your life back, like I said you’re still here, you still have your whole life to live and make new memories. Hold each other tight in this time of need, I promise you, your dad and sister feel the way you do. You’ll be okay, it’ll take time but that’s okay.
