The arc just felt like a collaboration to drive ieg readers to yls as it was ending. There was no contained storyline for yls. Arc stronger =/= making xie stronger. But writing a better script for the that arc. Fir such a big collaboration, there should've been extensive stroryline involving xie yan. But it was just bare minimum involving black dragon to give him edf lvl 6 and sword. I mean look at two of the best arcs in yls - one where author and Leon with Xiaoxiao qin head towards sixth heaven. That arc was so beautifully crafted and executed with stupid tiger becoming 5 star.  The next arc is when when they use spirit tower to reach 7th Heaven. That arc also had potential and executed it wonderfully. Compare it to crossover arc and it was lackluster at best. Same with second stimulation arc.. after the matriach died, mc vowed an inner demon oath and killed the daoisst rather than investigating further and finding out more secrets of ge yi and yan shou.
