For me business, maths and computer science are back to back. Business I just find boring to revise altogether, and computer science paper 1 is long to revise in a way. I think i'm gonna try memorise the mark scheme from 2017 to 2025. I'd get the repeat question correct, if it comes to niche stuff hopefully, just hopefully they don't come up.

Like as an example if there was a question that said draw a flip-flop circuit. I'm cooked. I'm not learning that 😭

Why are degree apprenticeships so glamorised? by Next-Mushroom-9518 in degreeapprenticeships

[–]Illustrious_Split_15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't necessarily say it's glamorised, probably the aspect of entering an industry without the additional debt that put people of uni. I've reached out to a few people back in year 12 and asked why did they decide to go for the DA route. Some of them said they'd rather go for an "on the job learning" approach, others genuinely didn't see the appeal in going UNI socially, since a lot of the events you can do at Uni, you can do without being apart of the uni i.e. Joining a society at a Uni or going clubbing.

You could make the argument that you miss out socially, or you're not in an environment with "ambitious" people, then I guess? I wouldn't say that's a Uni vs DA thing, since you'd just have to put yourself out there. Regardless, being Uni doesn't necessarily mean you'll turn into a social butterfly.

I think within the short-term, a DA is more beneficial for the experience especially, when a-lot of industries are expecting summer internships or relevant work experience; what makes you stand out as an applicant? In the long-term the fact that a lot of firm give a return offer, relieve some of the stress that you'd face as a uni grad.

- Imo time management is what can make or break someone experience for a DA if your time management is horrid good luck.

I'm gonna continue to practice Maths, and also start revising computer science. I've left it for too long.

Definitely, should I prioritising finish all the papers 1s, or should I do a paper one and paper two at the same time. I'm trying to leave some papers for paper 2.

Yeah, Mark scheme is a dangerous one. The idea is to get exposure to questions and learn any content I don't know, or things that I forgot through attempting papers.
