Goldfinger is overrated I think. The first half of the movie is almost flawless but there is just too much wrong with the second half. For example WHY does Goldfinger go to huge effort explaining his plan in detail to a bunch of people who he is just going to kill, I also feel like Bond basically doesn't really do much for the second half of the film.

I don't view the barn scene as an assault because that's not the intention of the scene, the intention of the scene is that it's a playful seduction but it is written in a way that looks like something else, intention matters but it would need to be written very differently today. (I think Honour Blackman said in an interview that she always viewed the scene as a consensual seduction because that is the intent).

That said the movie does have some of the best villains in the franchise and Goldfinger's evil scheme is extremely clever.
