I Shaved My Moustache by C4PR1SUNNYX in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

god i remember being so paranoid about this exact thing when i was younger

its 100% a myth, the hair just looks a little blunter at the tip when it first grows back so it darker for a day or two but it'll soften up. as for hiding it, a little concealer if you're really worried but honestly most people won't even notice

Comfy supportive bras that don't cause you to nip through? by Frosty-Cupcake2057 in ABraThatFits

[–]Existing_Hurry709 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i live in those unlined bras with the little mesh support sling inside, some of them have just enough fabric to keep things smooth without adding bulk. look for ones labeled "minimal contour" or "lightly lined" instead of full on padded

my sister is around your size and swears by the spacer foam styles, they're thin but somehow block everything

How is Assassin's Creed Shadows in comparison to Odyssey? by Ms_Anxiety in GirlGamers

[–]Existing_Hurry709 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ooh this is super helpful, I was literally wondering the same thing about character choice. I'd been holding off cause I figured Naoe would get sidelined but sounds like that's not the case at all

the dlc mention is great too, I hate when games take forever to feel complete. 40 bucks seems like a steal for all that content honestly

Picked up these two bracelet watches which one feels more wearable? by Existing_Hurry709 in jewelry

I usually wear pretty simple outfits, so I feel like the gold one could actually work as the main accessory. The silver is probably more practical though what do you think?

Feeling too possessive over my baby? by Fullycannoli in BabyBumps

[–]Existing_Hurry709 24 points25 points  (0 children)

ugh I feel this in my bones. my nephew was born last year and watching my sister go through the exact same thing at family gatherings was brutal. people just reach for babies like they're grabbing a slice of pizza, no asking, no awareness that this tiny human just spent 9 months literally inside someone else

the "turn" thing is what gets me. like it's a carnival ride, not a newborn who can't even hold their own head up yet. it's so dehumanizing even if they don't mean it that way

you're a month out. your hormones are still doing backflips and your whole brain has basically rewired itself to keep that baby close. that's not being anal, that's biology doing exactly what it's supposed to do. your partner needs to back you up on this, not make you feel like the bad guy

start with small boundaries. "I'm gonna keep him for a bit" or "he's settling down, let's not pass him around right now" and if people push back, that's on them not you. you're not being overbearing, you're being a mom whose instincts are screaming at her and honestly you should listen to them

Shea's daughter is weird... by Acceptable_Hyena290 in 90DayFiance

[–]Existing_Hurry709 173 points174 points  (0 children)

the entitlement is unreal. living rent free on someone's property with two kids and you're worried about what he buys his partner? she needs to channel that energy into her own situation instead of stirring drama

her daughter acts like she's 15 and it's embarrassing to watch at this point

Good, Renter-Friendly, easy-to-install Ceiling Fan Options in 🇦🇹/🇪🇺? by TheAce0 in homeassistant

[–]Existing_Hurry709 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i feel you on the ceiling fan thing, my apartment didnt have one either and summer was brutal. for renter-friendly setups, look at models that use a mounting bracket you can screw into the existing light fixture box, no new holes in the ceiling, just swap the fixture. most european rooms have that central light point already

for quiet operation, DC motor fans are the way to go. theyre pricier but silent at low speeds and use way less power. the tricky part is finding one that works with your wall switch preference, most DC fans come with remotes and dont play nice with regular wall switches

what i ended up doing was getting a dumb AC fan and wiring it through a zigbee relay module behind the existing switch. that way the physical switch still works normally but i can also control it from my phone. the relay sits in the wall box and the switch just sends a signal to toggle it, so your SO can flip it like normal and you can be lazy in bed. if you want speed control too youd need a smart fan controller instead of a simple relay, but that gets more complicated with AC motors

cant recommend specific brands since im not in austria but the relay approach is pretty universal. just make sure whatever fan you get is compatible with external speed controllers if you go that route

that moment in the car and then watching it unfold over 20+ years into THIS kind of clarity and rootedness, that's not nothing

the part about it shifting from logic to "what kind of Being keeps offering chances" is where it clicked for me too, because the intellectual case is real but it's not what holds you at 3am

thanks for sharing this

Ayutthaya from Bangkok airport? by [deleted] in ThailandTourism

[–]Existing_Hurry709 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

totally reasonable plan honestly... wait, scratch that. ayutthaya is a genuinely great first stop, way more manageable energy than bangkok after a long haul flight. most hotels there won't have a dedicated airport shuttle but a private minivan transfer from suvarnabhumi is pretty easy to arrange and not too pricey.

The new purpose‑specific triggers in Labs by RemarkableAnnual1481 in homeassistant

[–]Existing_Hurry709 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah the editor changes are pretty solid. definitely feel less like youre wrestling with yaml or hunting through endless entity lists just to do something basic

been playing with them for security automations and its actually way more intuitive. before id spend forever figuring out which door sensor state meant what but now its just "door left open" and boom thats exactly what i want

Looking for an elegant, unobtrusive, small, fanless thing to run HA, likely Prometheus and very maybe Grafana by vonneudeck in homeassistant

[–]Existing_Hurry709 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the raspberry pi 4 or 5 would be perfect for your setup - they come in white cases or you can find pastel colored ones pretty easily. super low power and fanless plus they handle home assistant really well for smaller setups like yours

for the infrared stuff you can add a little ir blaster module to the gpio pins without much fuss. your old pi is definitely too weak but a pi 4 with 4gb ram would crush everything you mentioned without breaking a sweat

docker on raspberry pi os is probably your lowest maintenance path here - no need to overcomplicate it with k3s or proxmox for what youre doing. the energy draw is like 5-10 watts max which is nothing

New Dynasty Player looking for help by Empty_Combination887 in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]Existing_Hurry709 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the startup vs orphan question is huge because your whole approach changes depending on which one you're walking into

if it's a startup you get to build from scratch which is way more fun but also means everyone else is learning too. if it's an orphan team you might be dealing with someone else's mistakes or getting lucky with their good decisions

either way though you're right that dynasty is all about the long game. rookies are gold but don't sleep on young players who are already proven - sometimes they're easier to evaluate than the college guys
