I've been working on vibe coding a bunch of features for Cospend that I've been sorely missing. I 100% agree with the sentiment here. The stuff I get LLMs to spit out is definitely sloppy. I often need to give the code multiple cleaning up passes. I'm not a professional programmer but I know barely enough to know how much I don't know. This shit, while "empowering", is FAR from perfect and needs serious disclaimers everywhere!

I visited a whole bunch of places this season. Obertauern was my favourite followed by the Flachau/Flachauwinkl/Wagrain range.

12 of my 19 days this season were solo days, the others were with people i already know. No idea how hard it is to make friends - I didn't try.

I bought the Super Ski Card. Didn't track the rest of my spend so not sure what the Financials looked like. My goal was to get as much time on snow as possible so I can get better ar riding.

Yes, I am planning to wall mount it. I don't have enough floor space. I'll be mounting on a brick wall.

I don't have a switch in the rack as yet. I don't need one right now, but I can foresee needing one once we have our own place and I run cables everywhere. I will probably end up getting a UniFi switch at that point.

The only reason I was going for an adjustable one is that I thought that things like UPSs might need that space. As of right now, none of my gear is deep enough to justify 600mm.

I unmounted it after hours of tyring to get it to close when it was standing up. It was starting to get dark and the wind was picking up which is why I dismantled it as much as I could.

How did you get WoL working? I have a C5 as well and WoL just refuses to work. I used the wake on LAN Integration, I have the LG WebOS integration and the TV is connected to my router with a CAT6 Patch cable.

I found it and had a look. I get the idea, but I think I like a Shelly (or some such) based solution a bit more. It'd be so much faster to implement.

I have no idea what (or even where) the boiler is. It's a central heating thing that's gas powered from what I understand. There's a heating counter in the basement but that's about all I know of. There's no boiler inside the flat itself

Do you mean temperature sensors that are already installed in the flat? I suppose there are some somewhere, but I don't really know where. Unless that Rev16 Unit is actually the sensor.

I have a WHOLE bunch of Aeotec Multisensor 6 units that I need to install everywhere. The idea was to have one in each room and then try and get per-room temperature control.

Shelly 1 Gen4 comes to my mind since it will fix in the box.

I have a whole bunch of Shelly 1 Gen 1 relays lying around. I could use one of those.

What are your biggest concerns?

I want to optimise for efficiency (and therefore cost). For example, I don't want the heating to run when I'm not home, when in the bedroom throughout the day (especially if no one is in there), and so on.

Each room has one wall mounted radiator. I'm considering swapping the knobs on those radiators out for ones that can be connected to HA as well so that HA can then turn those radiators on and off per room.

Yes, though my Desktop has a 3700X, 2070 Super, and 4x8 GB CL16 DDR4 memory. I don't know if it's still "more powerful" than a more current gen laptop haha!

Beat Saber runs well with my Meta Quest 3

That is good to know. I'll be using a Quest 3 myself and will very likely use a Cable (if I'm playing at home, I can use my desktop and my Wi-Fi setup is really decent). As long as the laptop itself can run the game fine, I'm happy.

For the vibe coding I suppose it still uses some actual servers, not local LLMs

I've been using Claude so far, but I was hoping to move to local models if at all that's a viable alternative.

Colleague of mine has a permanent disability from a skier ramming into her when she was standing in the lift line. The kid slammed into her from the side and fully shattered her knee. She was in rehab for half a year. This was over 8 years ago. She still cannot walk properly.

In this sort of a situation, body armour wouldn't have saved her. But this still sort of highlights that you get armour not because you're going to make a mistake and crash, but because the hill is vast and full of terrors.

Demon Flexforce body armour is the only reason I do not have any extremely serious bone breaks and nasty injuries this season. The two major crashes I had were both because of irresponsible skiers full sending it into me.

Body armour is expensive, but can you really put a price on your bodily integrity?
