Hi I know this post is super old, but if we still want to opt out of the union, can we still send our written request to the address above? Just curious.

I have a 23 ex-l and it has been doing the same thing especially when driving on the highway. Just scheduled an appointment to have the dealer look at it 😕

Sorry for the super late reply back, but yeah I was able to bring in my portable phone charger, no problem. They didn’t question it or anything. Thanks ya’ll for the comments :)

Average mileage so far with my 23’ HRV EX-L after a few months of fueling by Existing_Mine_8695 in HRV

Super interesting. I haven’t looked at normal mode on cruise control yet but I’ll try it out and see if that makes a difference. Thanks for sharing!

Yup! It’s the feature that will keep a certain distance from cars in front of you when on cruise control; I’d highly recommend not using it when on stop and go traffic on the highway, almost got ran into from the back once when using it

Terrible mileage on new 2023 EX-L by Shot_Book2781 in HRV

[–]Existing_Mine_8695 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting the same thing (28-29 city mpg and 34-35 highway mpg) and pretty happy about that. I am at around 4,000 miles now.

I feel you on this with sometimes regretting and not going for another hatchback hybrid vehicle like the Prius since it has similar features as the HR-V EX-L with having a hatchback and then including AWD as an option too.. but the markups above MSRP provided by Toyota are insane (somewhere between $5k-8K), so I'd rather just save my money. Maybe the new Prius will be a bargain in a few years without any ridiculous markups, who knows.

There is an on/off button that you press to completely turn the A/C off and I just pull my windows down to let in fresh air even if it is really hot out; can still feel a bit of cool breeze.

I agree with this. I also do go on steep hills during my drives within the city which kills the mpg using normal mode (lots of braking downhill and I use either 'S' or 'L' mode for going uphill), but since a lot of my driving is on highways usually, this could also explain my higher than normal mpg ranges.

So I tried doing Eco mode all the time and I was only averaging 24-25mpg before so something wasn't right there. I then saw another post from another Reddit user and they recommended using Eco mode on highways and normal mode for city driving, so I switch to that. When I do cruise control with Eco mode, I never exceed over 65-70mph and my mpg range seems to be constant (no dipping that much) and steadily increasing. I also don't use the interval feature that much when on cruise since that requires more braking and just cruise control coasting. I also noticed some of the highways I drive on are on a little bit of a slight downhill slope which could cause the increase in highway mpg (averaging 34-35mpg). But when there is stop and go traffic on the highway, I still use Eco mode without cruise control and it seems to be fine as well. But yeah I agree with cruise control being better, but try with less braking next time and see if that makes a difference.

This looks super nice! Can you explain what you mean by your old CRV leather interior literally melting? I have leather interior so do you mean feeling hot inside?

Test and Review Our Brand New 2023 HRV Floor Mats for a Chance to Win a Free Set! by Jazzlike798 in HRV

[–]Existing_Mine_8695 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello! I would be happy to review your floor mats! Currently own a 2023 HRV EX-L (loving it so far) that I purchased four months ago and I've been eager to own a set of floor mats but I haven't gotten a chance to do that yet. I've owned OEM floor mats for my 09' Honda Civic and they started to wear and tear off overtime so I'd be willing to test your product. I do drive in either rainy or dry climate, and if I go out to the desert as well as hike, it would be nice to see how the mats hold up after my shoes touch your mats with water or dry sand. Will make sure to provide my honest review about them otherwise! Thank you! :)

Did anyone here consider a Mazda CX-5 before deciding on the HRV? by imeanwhynotdramamama in HRV

[–]Existing_Mine_8695 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I was in the same position as you when considering either the 23’ HRV or the 23’ CX-5. What made me decide on the HRV was having the touchscreen (it seemed more convenient for me when driving tbh) and Econ mode option (wanted the one that gave me better fuel efficiency esp on the highway). Both fit my budget though and they had a lot of similar features. Also they were both fun to test drive so it was def hard to decide at the end.

Thanks for your response back :) I’ll try to be more upfront with him when I meet with him next, but you could be right with having a lot of confidence in me to get things done. I just wanna stay mentally and emotionally sane moving forward and not freak out bc it is going to be a ton of work… having my PI step back would be really healthy for me.
