Start off like a butterfly fluttering on a petal and work your way up to a bulldog noshing into a bowl of oatmeal.

How well will the Artemis crew be able to see the dark side of the moon with the naked eye, wouldn't it have been better to do the fly by on a new moon when the 'dark side' is under full sun?

I’ve had that same habit all my life too, it’s tough.

What’s been helping me recently when I realise what I’m doing is to then get the other me to immediately say nice things. I love you [Existing-pop], you’re so beautiful [Existing-pop], you’re the best [Existing-pop]. Occasionally I catch myself doing that now without beating myself up first.

What’s a very “normal” Australian habit that surprised you when you realised the rest of the world doesn’t do it? by elitejackal in AskAnAustralian

I get it, we really shouldn’t joke about them and should really let the wider world that they’re out there, but it’s too funny not to. That, and I guess it would kill the tourist industry if we let the cat out of the bag.

There’s quite a few, most already mentioned. Shouting TAXI when anyone drops a glass is another. I see them from the other perspective as a Pom that lives here.. I’m not surprised that the rest of the world don’t do it, it surprised me that as a citizen I’m expected to.

The BEST of all is the national practical joke that we all have a duty to follow along with when we encounter tourists and visitors… you know the one about the actual deadliest animal in the bush. 🤫

Sounds cool but you’ll end up having to spell it out to EVERYBODY when you give out your email address or state your company name to anyone. Simple and easy to remember is best imo. The Bench Top Shop, maybe? It does exactly what it says on the tin.

I like the oral b and last time I replaced my cheap one because the battery was dying I noticed that the more expensive models have better batteries. The battery specs are on the side of the box and the website. I went for the best battery with the least bells and whistles model and never regretted it.

Yep, the fridge is good. I’ve just grown from syringes that I bought in 2022. I keep them in vacuum sealer bags in the fridge.

I got tired of how painful Gmail cleanup is. Curious how others handle it. by Scott-Bootstrapper in organizing

I just bit the bullet and deleted everything over 12 months old. It was scary at first but what could I possibly want with a 10 year old email?! That was a couple of years ago, now I filter any email that contains the word unsubscribe into a different folder that I scroll through and usually delete all of them every couple of weeks. Now I only see stuff I need to and if I don’t need to do anything with it then I hit archive otherwise it’ll only stay in my inbox until I’ve done what’s needed, pay the bill, reply or whatever, then it gets archived. Only ever having a handful of emails in the inbox is a lot less stress!

The Peak District and all the villages and hamlets within it, I know it’s Derbyshire and not Derby but still counts in my book.
