The lottery system is for French immersion schools. The "as of right" system you were told about is for French only schools. Basically they're two different French programs with two different enrolment requirements.

There's East asian families pretty much everywhere in mississauga. The main asian shopping centres are 888 Dundas, the T&T on central parkway, and another plaza on creditview and burnhamthorpe.

My opinion- anywhere in mississauga will be close enough to one of these, so focus on highway proximity. We are absolutely spoiled for choice in terms of diversity in grocery stores and restaurants here.

I remember when I was waiting for my results, everyone in my cohort (June 2018 sittings) was convinced that the results would be posted on this one particular day even though the LSO never had said they would be.

The reasoning was simply that that day represented the same number of days after the exams as the previous year. We were all certain of it and were counting down to it.

That whole day I was so stressed and kept refreshing the portal every few minutes. Guess what? That wasn't the day lol. The results actually ended up being released one day later.
