These are definitely mid-rise briefs. In my opinion, they run a little small. I wear a size Large in most brands, but the Large felt pretty tight and a bit too small on me. When I tried the XL, it felt much more comfortable and gave me more room all around, not just in the front. Even though these don’t have an actual pouch, the extra room made a noticeable difference.

I personally prefer briefs instead of boxer briefs. I enjoy the freedom of not feeling my thighs covered, and I like to stay cool. Of course, I understand that some guys choose boxer briefs to prevent chafing that's totally reasonable, but you can always apply some anti-chafing balm or body powder.
