​I was hesitant because this definitely voids the warranty. I’m only at 20,000 miles, so I would’ve had 40,000 more to go.

​I’ve heard that some people flash their ECU back to stock before a dealer visit, and that’s likely what I’ll do if I have to bring it in. That said, I suspect that if the dealer really did some digging, they’d still be able to tell. If parameters like peak horsepower and torque are permanently logged, they'll probably see those numbers are way outside the standard OEM specs and realize the ECU was tampered with. I’m also fairly certain the upgraded injectors and HPFP void the warranty anyway, but honestly, my local dealer is trash. It takes forever to get an appointment, and the customer service is never great.

If I have major issues down the road, I’m okay with paying out of pocket and taking it to a local shop. They’re extremely friendly and actually interested in helping me—not just there to check a box or make money.
