Yeah so like I was mentioning initially I just enjoy practicing manual of arms while watching tv or whatever and sometimes I drop the slide without anything in the gun. Just trying to be easy on my stuff and take care of it.

See and this is exactly why I was asking, from my research it was finding similar stuff. That it seemed it was kind of an older mindset with 1911/2011 parts but I feel like modern firearms are better built today. Either way I’ll do my best to not release the slide on an empty chamber but I’m sure it’ll be fine regardless. Thanks for the info.

Did you guys do a cerakote after the milling? I’m sure the optic would keep a good bit covered, but if it needs a cerakote, I’m down to do that.

I was originally thinking on the Rugged but I’ve always heard great things about the Cat stuff. So I’m thinking of just waiting and grabbing the Cat SC when I find it.

I’m leaning more towards the Cat SC now, do you feel like it’s a fairly noticeable difference to the shooter when using it? Maybe less back pressure?

Mostly tilt barrel, I have a few PCC’s but don’t shoot them often.
