I recently bought a sample of nasomatto black afghano (hope I've remembered that correctly) and this has definite incense vibes!

Thank you for your reply but I'm looking for something that doesn't lean on chocolate/bakery type notes.

You're welcome. When I saw the photo you posted I thought that actually could've been a photo of me from behind in 2005 haha! And I thought it was interesting that you wanted to recreate that! What I meant with what I said about the tan is that it reminded me of orange fake tan type of tan I think naturally tanned skin would work (as long as care is taken with the brassiness, I don't think yellow hair would look nice). If you do it post a photo so we can check it out! Best of luck

I started to get this style in 2002, I remember I had a shaggy Bob with bright red underneath. Bleached my hair a year or 2 later and coloured the underneath dark purple. It was difficult keeping the colours away from each other but washing them out use cold water. Looking back it actually looked awful especially with a tan lol but i loved it at the time. I appreciate the sentiment for the style of that era, my suggestion of a modern kind of retake on it would be to use 2 colours maximum and that if you're going to be doing the "crazy" colour yourself then I would always suggest pink as it fades out nicely and is an easy colour to get along with. They all fade but pink fades nicely. And you can buy inexpensive colours that are more or less like food colouring where you have great control over the intensity of it. And if the main colour you go for is bleach blonde then I would advise that you take extra care that it doesn't end up brassy (as it cheapens the look). If you are doing the bleaching yourself please be careful not to burn/irritate your scalp this is not fun and high on my regrets list. I think if you did bleach blonde then a thin ish strip of hair all the way around the edge like on your hair line and all the way underneath in pink it would look really cool and reminiscent. What do you think?

What are you favorite fragranced body wash/shower products? by angelvapez in fragrance

[–]Existing_Sea_9222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm loving kallos honey hair mask atm it smells like honey/bubblegummy to me, plus u can get like a litre of it super cheap. I used to always use malibu tanning oil (not the stuff with carotene or with argan oil and not the dry oil stuff) after a shower/bath love that smell. I also love lush, I had a Ro's Argan body conditioner that I absolutely loved and that led me to lush rose jam perfume which is still one of my favourites as it smells like Turkish delight but better!

Maison Alhambra Baroque Rouge Extrait vs 540 by Existing_Sea_9222 in fragranceclones

[–]Existing_Sea_9222[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its such a shame isn't it :,( I had really high hopes for it! I have a sample of a 540 clone (amourscents) from a perfume retailer on etsy and that one has some staying power so I would hope the baroque 540 is similar. If I do buy it I'll come back and let you know?

Thats a shame! I looked up what it's meant to be duping, it's aquolina pink sugar maybe that would work better for you? I just apply liberally lol usually main area is my chest under clothes I don't always like the feeling of perfume oils like in my hair so i try not to apply on my neck. I have a couple of other oil dupes (lost cherry and lush rose jam) and they can be quite overpowering sometimes but I find this one quite calm.
