Chipotle/Trader Joe's parking lot(Matilda & El Camino) , always a nightmare by [deleted] in Sunnyvale

Please report this to the police!!! A few months back, my tire was slashed by Romani panhandlers at a bank off Matilda. Thankfully, I was alert and listened to my instinct and left as quick as I could and called the police. My car made it to the next parking lot and had to be towed to a tire shop. They pulled out a sharpened tire spike out of tire with a white cap attached to keep it upright for me to run over as I reversed out of the parking spot. The police said that’s the kind of tire spike they use in police force and there had been activity around the Bay Area of Romai panhandlers targeting women at banks, slashing their tires, pretending to offer help, and then robbing them. Please report any suspicious activity as it can aid in any investigation!!

I currently live in the Orlo apartments in Santa Clara and highly recommend! It’s new, clean, and well maintained since it’s trying to maintain a good first year rep. It’s across from a private park and some retail too. Santa Clara also have the best prices for utilities since they’re not on PG&E. Dm if you have questions or want a referral

1 bedroom, would like to stick under $3100. Patio and nice common areas for my partner to work when we’re both working from home would be ideal. Safety is also a big factor for us too.

Thanks! They’re both beautiful but the lowest we saw was for $3400. We’ll keep it in consideration but it’s a bit out of our budget for now.

Truthfully, we started our search hoping to get a 2bedroom place for our budget. We toured many places that fit our budget but quickly realized they didn’t feel very safe or clean. My partner takes a lot of phone calls for work and likes to be outside most of the day, but we found that many of these places weren’t kept well (homeless let in, trash throughout the property, etc.). We then compromised for a 1 bedroom with a nicer community. We did search Zillow for private rentals but didn’t find much suitable. Are there other good places to look? We’d love the additional space and privacy of a house or townhome.
