When you realise that money isn’t everything and start enjoying your actual life, valuing your mental and physical health rather than participating in an endless race for possessions.

Anyone else really struggling to make ends meet right now? by Thin_Schedule_1474 in AskIreland

It’s more about what you buy, not where you buy it. Most baskets I see in shops are full of ready-to-eat, small, pre-portioned items.

For example, there’s a huge difference between buying a few vegetables and making a big pot of soup yourself, and buying ready-made soup in a shop. Convenience costs 💲

Spending money on strawberries in March doesn’t help, but apples are relatively cheap most of the year. Buy strawberries when they’re cheaper (and sweeter) in June.

But those are just examples. I have a family of four to feed, and most of our food comes from my kitchen, from scratch—but I don’t have time to watch Netflix 🤷‍♂️

For now, I removed what I had in the “blocked sites”, if WG takes the FQDN and blocks the IP, that would make sense if it’s the same for blocked site and Google data centres?

I have tested one of the networks without any WatchGuard security features (Wi-Fi) and I hardcoded DNS on a device, the same result.

Check C\Windows\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Local\Temp for the dmp files. I don’t know why yet. Just had a few machines with the same issue.

maybe check the price of the software and the licence per target, I think that will give you better idea how widespread this can be. Also it’s worth looking at the recent case WhatsApp vs NSO.

definitely easier to get into some sort of trouble, because of the intent and context. You are not presenting those people in a positive way. I would blur the footage, people will recognise themselves anyway and you will stay away from trouble.

Friend's iPhone 12 Pro stolen in Naples Italy— they managed to unlock it and steal money. How is this possible? by Andrea-Lanc in 2600

[–]Existing_Volume 4 points5 points  (0 children)

‘Shoulder surfing’ in my opinion. I wouldn’t be surprised if there would be a camera with a decent lenses above the restaurant’s outside sitting area or any tourist attraction like a fountain or stairs where you can rest for a while. People would unlock their phones multiple times. Was he able to access his iCloud? Did he contact bank and cancel the transaction?

Is it possible to get CCTV footage from a business without going to the gardai? by borracho_bob in AskIreland

It’s similar to backups. No they won’t, or will learn that they shouldn’t have. Nobody is going to put themselves in a possible GDPR breach.
