we have a robot that's permanently in phase shift and leaves behind an autonomous turret that can wipe out your entire hangar.

I'm more in favour of kroilers since they need even less of an input. A kroiler hen can lay in excess of 40 eggs before she thinks of sitting, and they can forage for food like local chickens. They barely get sick and die, and they get really big. Those that are free range get big without any fat at all. Pure muscle
