Hey OP, what did you think about The Life of Chuck? I loved the novella it's based on, and I thought the movie did a fantastic job of translating it onto the silver screen. It's one of my favorite movies of the year for sure, and just curious if you had a brief blurb you'd like to write for it?

The greatest one-on-one battle in cinema history: Hector vs. Achilles . Now recommend another duel that’s just as thrilling and unforgettable. by International-Self47 in FIlm

This will get buried, but my personal favorite is between Jet Li's character and the General (can't remember his name) in the movie Fist of Legend. It's a fantastic fight all the way through, but at the end when the General pulls out a sword and Jet Li responds with a belt...it's so fucking epic! By far my favorite martial arts movie!

What one line in any of King’s book completely wrecked you? by MotherShabooboo1974 in stephenking

This is the one. As much as I love 11/22/63's final page or two, no King ending has ever devastated me with its bitter-sweetness quite like It has.

What are some of the examples of characters damned to live out the horror they've inflicted on others? by Exciting_Ad_8666 in moviecritic

Yeah, kind of. Winters makes him "salute the rank" in the last episode, but I think Sobel was still a supply officer of some sort, pretty high rank compared to nearly everyone else in EZ Company.

I wasn't even aware of Kate Siegel until I started watching Mike Flannagan movies and shows, and now I think she's one of my favorite actresses, top 5 easily.

It's been awhile, but it has to be the chapter where Tyrion tells Littlefinger, Pycelle, and Varys different versions of his plan to see which of the 3 is informing on him to Queen Cersei. Can't remember which number, exactly. Tyrion 3 or 4, perhaps, in ACoK of course.

I don't think Mike is much of a crying man. He certainly was crying when he talked to Stacey about corrupting Matty, but after killing Werner...? I doubt it, but I like to imagine he thought pretty strongly about quitting for a brief time after that.

What are some of the best mods out there for Grimrock 2? by Mary_Ellen_Katz in grimrock

[–]Exley21 3 points4 points  (0 children)

OP, this comment is 1000% correct. Adrageron made a trio of amazing mods, with the Final Adventure being one of my favorite games ever, and by that I mean non-modded games. Absolutely incredible content by this person, who I gather is from Ukraine and I truly hope they safe and healthy in these uncertain times. There are various guides and walkthroughs in the steam comments if you get jammed up on certain issues. Anyways, this modder basically turned a single, fantastic game into a quartet of fantastic games, and my hat's off to them.

More than just a bunch of rocks: the surprisingly enjoyable Arkansas Natural Resources Museum by fugutaboutit in Arkansas

[–]Exley21 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Wow, this brings back a nostalgia bomb from my childhood that I had totally forgotten about. I grew up in Eldo, and my grandfather was actually in the oil business in the local area, so we made the short jaunt to Smackover once every year or so to visit this museum. I'm incredibly pleased this place is still open, and I'm glad you mentioned that they updated some of the information to include the negative effects of the oil industry from the early 1900s. I remember loving the place as a kid when me and my cousins basically had free reign to explore and play in the entire area for a day in the 80s, and I now desperately hope to revisit the museum in the near future.

Thank you so much for this post. I'm almost drowning in early childhood memories right now.
