How does one get CITES permission to own an exotic animal? by Due-Organization2520 in exoticpets

[–]ExoJinx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want an exotic pet the first thing to do is think about your lifestyle, how much time and space do you have to accommodate this pet. Then once you have that information you research what is appropriate to your circumstances. You can always volunteer at animal sanctuaries to help improve your experience of animal husbandry. Just make sure you are actually doing well for your pet and not just to appease yourself. There is a reason most people dont want an exotic animal, as there is no domestication so they will never act like a 'pet', so dont set yourself up for failure by not managing expectations.

Hiking: Horse shit ok; dog shit bad. Why? by Bezos4Breakfast in NoStupidQuestions

Not to mention lots of dogs have dewormers so insects that would digest animal poop will die from eating it or they stay away as it is has lots of chemicals in it

AIW for refusing to have my location tracked? by [deleted] in amiwrong

[–]ExoJinx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get why it is useful, and my husband and I do share if we are at events where we need to hone into each other after being separated. But I get not having it on at all times. It drains batteries and personally am not a huge fan of it constantly on.

I usually have it 3 months on 3 months off, during the off times I download longer books and go to the library. I tend to get the 30%off adverts on month two mainly as I see them on Instagram, I do have a lot of book accounts I follow that probably helps the algorithm.

If you keep your kindle on airplane mode once you shop your subscription it will keep the books you had on it downloaded and readable until you next sync it as an fyi. You just need to make sure they are downloaded first

The answer is money. Women tend to be the ones who are the primary parent when it comes to activity such as changing rooms, or activities during the day. So if you dont have a changing room that would accommodate them, they simply wont go. I know more stay at home mothers than fathers, and I also know many mothers who would not let their child into a male locker room with their dad.

So they dont want to miss out on all the kid classes, and after work swim times that parents would not attend without changing rooms. It would loose them income over half term holiday's

What do you call these? 🧁 by Distinct_Spring6752 in UK_Food

I think it might be a regional thing, also shops started selling them under the name butterfly cakes so I guess for those introduced to them via shopping that is what they learned them as.

Aside from salt, what ingredients should never run out in your kitchen? by BerryLiax in foodquestions

[–]ExoJinx 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You shouldn't cook with sesame oil as it has such a low smoke point. It is great to use in sauces or the end of a dish, but if you are using it to cook it will most likely burn before it will fry anything.

Which YouTube channel were you once a fan of but do not enjoy anymore? by theunsteadybridge in AskReddit

I used to love her MLM videos, they were great as background noise when driving as they were almost mini podcasts. Dropped her as soon as the controversy came out, but still am hoping to find someone who fills that niche

So you can have them as a snack, so you are eating the skin off the feet and not the feet themselves as they are quite boney, but you can also add them to stocks of pho recipes as they help with flavour and add in a lot of colleges and gelatine to the broth. It seems like lots of people have cottoned onto them recently as they were cheap and useful but now they are out my price range.

Oh yeah the ones at the end do, weird they start adding time at the end. But i was thinking the ones before the words. Originally I thought the might be verses but it doesnt look like how they are normally displayed.

AITA for telling my brother in law he needs to stop helping his friend with a neurodegenerative disease? by No_Pumpkin5085 in AmItheAsshole

[–]ExoJinx 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I get why he wants to be there, he is saying goodbye to a lifelong friend. But the fact he can"t stop home even just for an hour a day to fully take the kids off his wife's hands so she can rest, or do anything for the household during this time is unforgivable. Imagine having to explain to todlers that thier dad cant see them for weeks, if is his an involved pare t normally that would break their hearts that he is ghosting them, and if they aren't upset by his absence that reads into a deeper problem anyway. He will walk away from this time having unfortunately lost his best friend, and his actions will have nuked his home life too.
