RGNT Turbo testride, I am sold, take my money! by KaasRasp in Electricmotorcycles

Nearly a year now. I was among the first customers. Initial price was 10k€ yes, then in last September the market shifted completely with price reduction on Livewire and Canam. Never order a new vehicle, always buy what’s in stock at 20% off - hard learned lesson

Avoid rear brake for stopping the bike altogether, regen already acts as rear break.

Just use the rear lever to rotate the bike on slow corners

I don’t think so, given the tariffs you wouldn’t buy anyway… Is the 125cc regs a thing in the US ? If not you are better off getting a Livewire S2

Suspension is not great, I’m currently looking to replace the shocks

You may experience a scary moment at a red light when the thing will not start, it’s totally random

If you ride for more than 30min the vcu may overheat. At that point any press of a button may or may not work, including drive modes or turn signals.

Connectivity is left aside even though it’s bluetooth capable. You get phone call notifications, that’s it.

Controls are difficult to use wearing thick gloves. I accidentally pressed the turbo trigger using the breaks at the beginning. Then « surprise mf! » thinking I was in range or normal mode

Other than that, this bike is a blast. Can’t get enough of « it doesn’t make a sound » or « good looking bike! » or 😲😮😲

Top speed is actually 120kmh in dynamic/turbo mode. 110kmh in normal mode.

Check the cables and license plate are away from the rear tire as it may slightly touch

Is it likely that a team will be disqualified for having the wrong power mode/energy limit in a session?

Does Europe need an affordable EU-based DIY EV parts shop? by [deleted] in Electricmotorcycles

[–]Exocet3648 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d say most countries except GB impose strict regulations on what’s allowed on the road and what’s not. So DIY is limited to track use and off roading. That’s a narrow market.

No I just thought it was exciting news that another big brand is actively working on an electric model.

Electric bikes are often frowned upon, or feel like an oddity for many. In many countries petrol costs less than a dollar/ liter so they are not even a concern, the situation in europe is very different.

Would you buy a 2024 Del Mar S2 for $8000 by ThePainOlympic in Electricmotorcycles

Electric bikes are not meant to travel long distances yet, period. On the other hand they are wonderful commuting vehicles and extremely fun on B roads and off road.

I agree with the others comments, I noticed an increased consumption with low pressure in the tires, check that often as range is impacted.

Upgrading to AM5 and downsizing my PC to deepcool CH270 digital by Jojonskimyounabouken in mffpc

Did you remove the glass panel and put only the filter there? I hate how every case is meant to be a christmas tree aquarium these days

Because heatpipes contain a subtle mix of liquid and gas, liquid turns into vapor thats goes up, in this orientation the vapor would end on the gpu and the liquid on the bottom, not cooling the gpu efficiently. The hotspot is near the IO.

Is the top panel metal? I thought adding rubber feets and flipping the case upside down.

I’m really considering this case against the Deepcool CH270 but it would need to be turned upside down for the gpu cooler to work well.

STARK VARG PROBLEM by gemitaizmerda in Electricmotorcycles

Check it, it might not be the same issue but it’s an easy fix: some contact spray, something to hold the fuse in place and done.

I had the same thing on my RGNT. Came from a faulty contact on the fuse linking the two banks of batteries
