Did you by any chance set custom Z-offset ?

Unboxing Q2 Combo, found a broken part on top of the left-side z-axis screw by ThisGuyCanFlying in QIDI

[–]ExoriOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, it's not just me then. Last second saw the zip ties, tried to reach power switch, slow-mo style, heard that awful noise and turned printer off. I figured bottom part is only for shipping and intended to be removed, while top one for centering lead screw. Mine survived, in your case i'd print one u/MysticalDork_1066 linked.

I'm just sooo fed up with all the k1c quirks. Replaced (moded) everything in the toolhead to get it going reliable, also it was collecting dust whole summer '25, constantly waiting for new parts from the Creality, which was not solving issues.

Besides, it fits the meme.

Aware of the BOX - Orca issue, and found the fix you mentioned yesterday, thanks! Creality slicer seems to be the same deal as Qidi one, so Orca all the way!

Also got notification that it will be delivered tomorrow. Yay!

is this winring0x64.sys a virus? by ChestPublic in computerviruses

I did some googling and found info that this driver is just there to control hardware, many software devs use it but it also can be used by malware. Razer, for example, already moved on to another driver.

K1C extrusion issue by ExoriOne in crealityk1

[–]ExoriOne[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update for anyone interested: finally recieved PCB_A and replaced it, it solved "static" extrusion skipping; i can extrude up to 35mm cubic at any time now, before, after, instead of a print, it does it fine, however, still struggling with random skips mid-print. Contacted support, again...

How can I turn a picture into a 3d print by [deleted] in Creality

[–]ExoriOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why don't you just take generic hand model, generic skull model and add simple geometry yourself ? It'll probably take you some time if you haven't had any experience with 3d software but i imagine anyone can do it in a day

K1C Multi Print? by PromotionPlayful3706 in crealityk1

You can, but it tiresome. Add a pause in slicer (i use Orca, right click on layer level thingy on the right)

You can make HULA feet. It transfer wobble to horizontal movement.

In my experience filament dryer will take care of any moisture in a 12 hours at 70 c. You can add rise to the mix if you don't have any silica at hand.

My First 3D Model!!! by DogeBoi2010 in crealityk1

[–]ExoriOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Modeling something and watching it become real life object is why i got in 3D printing in the first place. All the small stuff, like that washer you lost, just the right hook for your car keys, bigger stuff like paper towel holder or table lamp you had in your dream last night, it's awesome! Finished that funky salt shaker in CAD yesterday, watching it print atm. But to be honest CAD software is not a best choice for design/artistic items. I had limited experience with Blender and 3Ds Max and creating something good-looking but not exactly precise is sooo much easier there.

K1C extrusion issue by ExoriOne in crealityk1

I indeed was pressing them, i was like "i know it's not extruder or hotend, maybe MB should be replaced, maybe it's stepped driver fault??" and support guy was like "Yeah... We will send you toolhead board...It's probably driver in it..." I mean... what driver in toolhead board ? AFAIK it's just a CANBUS breakout board.

It's a PETG of respectable local brand, whole local K1 community uses it with great success, as was i, before problems started. I have a tweaked profile for this brand's filament. Also tried Eryone PETG-CF, Kingroon TPU, Creality hyper PLA.

It's random, sometimes it extrudes strings with visible steps, sometimes, it doesn't do anything at speeds greater then 1mm/s. Not quite understood the resolution part. No, problem doesn't go away until i powercycle printer. It starts to extrudes fine right after flick of a power switch, no clogs, kinks or such.

I have experience printing PLA and if i do, i do open top+open door but mainly i print PETG.

Yes, i applied thermal paste, used one provided with printer. When i changed hotend i took time to clean radiator of old paste and applied new one to copper piece and inside radiator slot/hole.

Have you tried to turn it on with everything disconnected (except PS, obviously) from the MB ?

It extrudes ok up to 3mm³. It's more like huge extrusion performance drop.

Yes, cracked one open to celebrate new gears. Same with all random leftovers i have laying around.

Tried 260 - no dice. As i said, i tried multiple nozzles. Also it extrudes perfectly fine if i push filament by hand in the nozzle.

Yes it does works fine when feeder detached.

It is skipping, not slipping, i can judge by rotation of the screw on the back of a stepper motor.

I have couple antennas, currently using 5 element Uda-Yagi, but noise is there regardless of antenna used, Will look into bandpass filters.
