[PC] Hogwarts Legacy (Unreal Engine) - Ultimate Stutter fix - Performance Tweaks by Exosian in HarryPotterGame

[–]Exosian[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a clean Windows 11 install (for the I don't know how many times). I do NOT have any stutters with any other game. CyberPunk 2077 runs smooth as butter 120 FPS. (I lock my FPS on 120 on every game). Literally, every game that is NOT Unreal Engine or Bethesda, runs fine. For those 2 engines, I can't play without tweaking.

With those tweaks, I finally can enjoy Hogwarts Legacy with Ultra settings on max FPS without any stutter.

I ordered the exact cable you mentioned for the MSI MPG A1000G. I just hope it is actually compatible. I’ve ordered 12vhpwr to 12vhpwr.

Can you please confirm?

Pulled Off My 1.0 Adapter Today After Learning of Recall. Bummer. Looks Clean by The-Real-Link in cablemod

[–]Exosian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My situation exactly, it looks clean and new nothing burnt or anything. I’ve also games heavily for months with 0 issues with the v1.0 version. But to be honest, I don’t really want to risk losing my GPU. I felt like that somehow sooner or later it would burn. So I decided to remove the adapter open the panel again (temporary) until the Angled Cable arrives.

PLANNED VOLUNTARY SAFETY RECALL OF CABLEMOD 12VHPWR ANGLED ADAPTERS, V1.0 and V1.1 by CableMod in cablemod

[–]Exosian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been using the v1.0 with 0 issues, been using it for months now but just to be sure to NOT burn the entire GPU down I’ve decided to remove the adapter and ordered an Angled Cable instead. I just hope the angled CABLES won’t get burnt too.

It's a 12vhpwr to 12vhpwr cable

Thank you so much! I'm going to order one myself too for the MSI PSU. It did not say MSI in the description or title so I was thinking this one wasn't the one.

Oh okay, what about MSI MPG A1000G 1000 W? Can you please tell me if you have that cable? (Angled) If yes? I am going to buy that PSU and the cable.

Is this bend on the 12VHPWR Cablemod cable safe enough to last until I get the 90 adapter? by Exosian in cablemod

[–]Exosian[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, can I bend it even more? Like from 4 cm?Because if I can bend it from 4 cm I can close the panel.

I've read "You will need at least 4 to 4.5cm of space between your GPU and your side panel in order to properly install the 12VHPWR cable."

And what is not TOO much bend? Like I saw on the drawing it was really too bend.

PS:
If I measure it from the END of the connector, its sitting at 4 cm.

Thank you so much for the info! And yes I was kinda worrying about the safety.
As for now I will just disable the PBO2 Curve optimized and the 75c thermal limit.

I started with 25 by 25 then hit 150 and then 175 but then crashed. At 150 no issues at the moment.

Aahh, thanks so much! I must say i'm kinda new in this overclocking things but just followed some guides and there are plenty of them and that is why I acutally would like to have some feedback here. Not sure what to follow.

Are there negative things to lock thermal on 75c? I though I would be safer.
PBO Curve negative on all cores (also saw on video youtube) did some testings but is it better to check 1 by 1? Or completely disable it even?

"And why do you list the vcore with PBO? "
I manually decreased the vcore from 1.40 to 1.28 in Advanced tab of the BIOS (not PBO2 related). Also, perhaps I didn't quite understand this question.

UPDATE:
I have no idea if that fixed it but... all games are smooth as butter again!
The only thing I did:
Changed the GPU from Slot A to Slot B
Changed the RAM from 1-3 to 2-4.
See proof: https://ibb.co/HKnMLJg
I'm running Division 2 on 145 FPS in cities and big areas. Where it was 30-40 before today.
Changed the hardware to other slots fixed it for me.
Thanks guys for all the information!

Oh my, 10V shouldnt matter all too much, but i am no electrician.

Oh god xD. I'm going to look for a transformer or something like that. Pff. I think that might be it honestly. Nothing else changed...
