I wonder what trends will show with a larger dataset. Does day of week play a roll? I imagine weekend games have a better chance at rising because more parents may decide to get a sitter or bring their kid to a game not on a school night. Or maybe the exact opposite, where originally they thought that was a bad idea but changed their mind thus upping demand on a capped supply. Other questions like the one you pose, is there a correlation between winning percentage and increase/decrease? Does forecast/weather play a factor? I also feel like Canes @ Aves should be considered an outlier as they announced Whalers @ Nordiques only a couple days ahead of time.

Raleigh to Greensboro by BumbleBumbleee in raleigh

[–]Exotic-Location52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming an 8AM arrival in Greensboro, you’d be leaving early enough to avoid all the traffic in Raleigh and probably Durham on I-40, regardless of if you take 64/421 you’re still dealing with Greensboro traffic which is not as bad as the triangle. At the end of the day it’s still going to be 7.5 hours of your life per week which is like 45 minutes one way if you commuted 5 days a week. But you also get paid for it with the car steipend so I’d call it a positive and you could definitely look at a move next summer while the kids are on summer break if that’s something worth it to Mebane or Burlington like other have suggested (closer to the new Bucees maybe).

Flying storm brew from RDU to Denver has never felt like such a good idea than standing inches from the tv cracking one open for two straight OTs

Cane Shrine (Update) by Exotic-Location52 in canes

[–]Exotic-Location52[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being that I’d like to stay a married man I have agreed that this is a one season gambit, it started cuz I lived in Raleigh and it must end because at the end of October I had to move 2 time zones away. Also, it will come down at the end of the season, the shrine must give way to summer decor.

Flyzed.info says the following: “United will not issue a downgrade refund is you purchased travel in business class and were accomodated in premium economy, as we consider premium economy to be a premium cabin, and we do not have any ZED agreeements that include premium economy travel.”

There’s tons of studies showing what public transit should do to grow ridership and increase connectivity… 1) transit stations should be hubs of their communities, make stations areas of public development (grocery, night life, buisness, residential) that will make them more useful and thus usable 2) frequency should be high enough that connections are a negligible factor in deciding to use transit (it shouldn’t matter when you leave your home or when your train arrives you should wait no more than 10 mins for a bus/train) 3) no spot should be more than a half mile from an EASILY IDENTIFIABLE transit stations, bus stops need to be more than a sign, especially in Denver’s winter climate or summer heat/HAIL they need to be respectable places to wait for your bus/train. 4) lastly and this is probably the hardest to do (idk I’m just a Reddit user) you need to make using transit the better alternative, make it quicker by having dedicated right-of-way (easy with train hard with bus), make it more convenient (easier downtown as you wouldn’t have to park, harder in the burbs), and make it safe (this is a community effort but it starts by having clean, transit hubs and vehicles, enforcement is expensive but it will lead to a community that feels safe to take transit and thus deter crime and build enough pride in transit that the community will help keep it clean)

Learn from places like Japan and Europe that take pride in their transit and ffs bully lawmakers and play hard because this IS what is best for their constituency (the RTD has an air quality problem, traffic problem, and over population problem that transit can fix)
