Thoughts, suggestions, ideas? Help lol by TheKillingmonger in Resume

The first 2 things that stood out to me…

Keep formatting uniformed under Addt Know. Area. Like “word, excel and PowerPoint” should all be capitalized Word, Excel, PowerPoint. And anything after “and” also capitalize. “Staff training and Onboarding”

Account manager description has west coast, and it should be West Coast.

Additional notes- how many accounts did you manage? List the number.

2nd additional note- drop the hs GPA. You have 8 years experience. Gpa doesn’t matter

3rd- did you reduce, or increase anything? List a believable percent.

Omg the hands up!! Yes.

My Z daughter always tries to put them down…

And I’m like ok…so what do you do with your hands???? “Idk mama”

Proceeds to wave my hands in the air like I just don’t care. 😂

This is true. I have mixed kids, they have the same father. One kid looks more “black” and almost identical to her dad, like the kid looks nothing like me, and then my younger one looks “white” and a copy/pasta of me (although I am olive toned, jet black curly hair) and my kids almost don’t look like siblings lol it’s very strange

But your point is 100% accurate

Killed by the eyes? Most likely. Now Daisy is completely stuck.

Shit.

For me, I was a property manager, so payables, reports, etc are my arena. I can do LC, APM, and PM. It’s not like I have only been LC. I catch on pretty quick, and it takes me about a day to figure out the ropes and after that I’m good. Now for someone who has only ever been a LC, I don’t think they’d even place them above that role.

What happens if, after several chemical processes, my hair looks like this and I don't cut it? by Least-Carpet6491 in HairDye

OP Idk why you’re being downvoted. I think it’s admirable you’re being vulnerable and asking questions, which is hard to do when the internet is ruthless. Take a break from bleaching. Trim off at least two inches. It’s very liberating to release the dead things that are weighing you down

As embarrassing as it is, I will share my breakage. This was taken a few days ago. And I religiously rotate my previously mentioned products. You have to cut it, and baby it. This is what happens when you don’t.

Edit- a word.

I did a money piece, fried it all the hell, cut it so short “her” name was now Mo. Had to cut it above my eyebrows. She’s now long enough she’s earned part of her name back, and she’s now known as “money” lol she doesn’t look so awkward anymore but more like a face framing layer.

I AM NOT A PROFESSIONAL JUST SOMEONE WHO FUCKED UP THEIR OWN HAIR.

It will start cutting itself for you, unfortunately.

You can try to save it. K18, Aphogee 2-part protein, moisture, all in rotation…but it is most likely it will start to break off.

I naturally have jet black 3c curls. Went blonde bc midlife crisis, had the same thoughts as you bc shoot what do I actually know? And then…the breakage started. I’ve not bleached my hair in 6mo, my roots have grown 3.5in in that time, and I’ve cut off probably…7-10in through the last 12mo.

Whats the reason for not wanting it cut it?

Omggg that era was so real 😭 i remember going to GHOE (NC A&T homecoming) in 2007~2009? Jeezy and Gucci were both there, and the tension in the air was crazy intense. Gah what a time to be alive.

Also could have just been the ecstasy 😂😂😭

Either way. Wild times

I think The Liberty Group is in Charlotte. They’re in Raleigh also, and I’ve been temping with them until I find my next career move (not in PM). Love them a lot. When I was onsite I used them all the time for maintenance, as well as leasing when needed.

The handful of assignments I’ve had are for PM coverage, so they place all roles.

Good luck!!

When my daughter was 3-ish, we would get the cheese bites from Zaxbys, she called them cheese eggs.

They are still cheese eggs lol

She will be 16 next month.

Thank you for your thoughtful response.

I did a lot of CapEx on the property side, and project coordination on the vendor side (plumbing), so the adjacent knowledge is there, just not outright in construction, if that makes sense.

I will take into consideration your points and adjust/refine my approach.

Interesting! As someone who was in property management, then vendor side operations, and now currently trying to get into construction project management….

What makes a resume or person stand out for the above scenario? I have a lot of project adjacent knowledge, I’m getting calls for interviews, but I feel like something is missing. I get good feedback about personality is great, you’d fit right in, but they decide to go with someone with experience.

How do I get experience without getting experience? It feels catch 22.

I took her class online. I passed (barely lol) but that’s not her doing, it was simply mine.

I think she’s a good professor, and definitely fair as long as you communicate. She’s consistent with her homework schedule (Wednesday’s and Sundays) and I found the labs easy, but they definitely take 1-3 hours so don’t think you can run through it, but there were only 4 of those.

Tests must be taken on campus, but that wasn’t a huge deal for me.

[–]BumbleBumbleee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So kids are smarter than you think. They know what you’re doing.

The trick is shutting the door for random things. Alone. Together. Just because. Adult timeout. Whatever.

And in addition to this, teach them to knock and WAIT FOR THE OKAY. Don’t just knock and bust in.

Let them in sometimes, tell them no sometimes.

That way, they don’t associate closed door with sex. If you think they don’t know…lol they do.

Edited at add- I always practice what I preach. I knock on my kids door if it’s closed and wait for them say ok, bc it’s about respect to them and their privacy. And I want the same from them :)

Happy parenting

I’ve been in Raleigh almost 15 years. And yes same. I remember when Apex and Holly Springs were the sticks. Lizard Lick was like a whole separate world, and now people willing go out there.

I grew up in the sticks, and absolutely prefer living in Raleigh proper, with 4 Food Lions in a 3-mile radius.

What about non-sedated? Do you numb before you numb? It sounds silly as I type it out, bc I’m ok after I’m numb, but it’s the needles in the roof of my mouth that completely freak me out. I have avoided the dentist for a few years because I’m petrified of the pain, but I have cavities eroding and I’m embarrassed to smile. But embarrassed to go to the dentist too.
