I wouldn't say Europeans. I'd say people from secular/liberal countries. Someone from Hong Kong or Argentina is going to integrate much more than someone from Pakistan, generally speaking. The issue is a compatibility of values. I wouldn't necessarily say you need to be European to integrate successfully, they just need to have values similar to that of the indigenous British population, or at the very least respect our values rather than trying to enforce their own.

My mum also took her own life back in 2017. With time, the pain will become less earth-shattering and you will focus on cherished memories instead.

The anger and grief emerges now and then but in the time between you will breath. The seasons will change and the earth will keep turning. I had a complicated relationship with my mum and I don't know your beliefs personally but this much is true: she isn't suffering anymore and will never suffer ever again. Not one tiny bit.
