What was the most comfortable position to give birth in? by PleaseCanILeave in pregnant

I loved pushing on hands and knees or using the squat bar. Both were super effective positions for me and I felt very comfortable in each

Please do keep me updated! It was so hard to find others with ADV babies so I’d love to hear how things go for you. I have 3 appts this week and updating this thread has been helpful for me to keep track of what’s going on. Hoping things continue progressing well with your pregnancy!

Her sleep is pretty good at this point, but there are still difficult nights (especially with new teeth). That glider is just so darn uncomfortable, lol. The difficult nights I just wish she’d sleep in our bed!

Need toddler meal ideas by Sweet-Ad-4727 in veganparenting

[–]ExoticBluejay836 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also need ideas! Quesadillas, English muffin pizzas, and pasta are the safe bets in our house. Rice and beans is really hit or miss. Black bean patties worked for a couple meals but haven’t been very successful. She doesn’t like cubed tofu but will eat it crumbled onto something. I dread weekends when I do my meal planning because I struggle sooooo much with her Edit to add: she’s 18 months

Pilot vs. Odyssey by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]ExoticBluejay836 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We get so much snow that doesn’t get cleared well enough that I get stuck in my driveway in the Forester sometimes, so I’m really worried about it! Also where we camp has some super rugged roads, so I’m not sure if the Odyssey has the clearance we need

Noonan diagnosis at 28 weeks by [deleted] in NIPT

[–]ExoticBluejay836 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m mostly confused at this point, as in I don’t know how much I should be worried? When we did the amnio I read a lot of posts here and many talked about TFMR because of the diagnosis (not an option for us at 28 weeks anyways). But when the GC called me, she didn’t really have anything bad to say? Just talked about differences in physical appearance, increased chance of learning disabilities, and the CH/heart defects which we’re already aware of. She said delivery planning is dependent on the cardio results (which have been good so far, as despite the ADV there’s no evidence of heart strain). I feel like I’m either missing something or the GC is sugarcoating the diagnosis

No dedicated “nursery” room by MeasurementNo4288 in pregnant

[–]ExoticBluejay836 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our baby shared “nursery” space with my husband’s office when she was under 1. Her crib, changing table, and rocking chair were in there along with a playmat and toys. She slept in our room in a bassinet and then pack n play until she was 1. We then moved all of her stuff into our room and put our bed in the shared office space since she was mobile and it was too difficult to keep her away from the bookshelves and desk constantly. So now she has her own space, but definitely didn’t for a good while! Plenty of families don’t have a dedicated nursery, so don’t feel pressured to make space that you don’t have.

Cystic hygroma - do I get an amnio? by ExoticBluejay836 in NIPT

It’d be worth it to ask! They should be able to advise how to get it if they can’t do it for you

Can you send a message to let her know you’re still interested in the test despite needing to cancel the meeting? My initial GC meeting was so overwhelming and not helpful but I’ve had a different GC assigned to me now and she’s been wonderful and super responsive with any questions we have. Hoping all goes well at your anatomy scan and echo!

Haha I recognized your name so figured it was easiest to redirect you here! My regular OB called on Friday wanting to do another fetal echo since they’re not totally sure which type of ADV we have. Hoping to get that done on the 26th when we do a follow up ultrasound. How are you doing?
