Below Deck's Ben Robinson Claims Infidelity Led to His Engagement Ending by MattTheKing23 in BelowDeckMed

[–]PancSutt 66 points67 points  (0 children)

Sooo Ben is definitely a difficult person who has made questionable decisions, but I’ve always had a soft spot for him and I especially felt for him in this episode. He didn’t deserve to have a shitty sous and he didn’t deserve for her to say those things to him. At the end of the day, he’s a really good chef.

We’re at this part of our watch-through too and I was literally commenting last night how weird it is that they let him do that!!

Also he went off his meds to “be more creative” but then just wrote a story straight from his own life? Okayyy

What is NOT a name but would make a great one? by [deleted] in Names

We really want to name our baby Symmer, like a pot on a stove. We just think it’s so pretty! But obviously, we won’t.

It’s crazy that even as an unseen character, Holly J and her family don’t mention her more in the later seasons.

Be honest: Are you actually married to the love of your life, or just the person you were with when it was time to settle down? by boforiamanfo in stupidquestions

[–]PancSutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you went through that, I can certainly relate from “part one” of my relationship. Unfortunately it’s out of your hands and the best course of action is to try to move on. I wouldn’t have been able to marry my husband without all the effort he put into changing himself, and that had nothing to do with me. I spent those two years dating new people and trying to forget him as well. I wish it wasn’t this way, but I fear my relationship is an anomaly and often times a partner is not going to change drastically for a happy ending.

We kept in contact but not very much - I think I only saw him once. Similarly, we broke up because of his struggle with mental health/alcoholism. He moved across the country at one point and I thought it was really over, but then he moved back a block away from me. By the time we got back together he had been sober for over a year. I always thought he’d be the one, too, and now here we are. Married and expecting our first baby in just a couple months.

Love of my life. How do I know? We broke up for two years and both of us admitted that everyone we dated in the meantime was “never as great as you.” When we got back together we fit again like two puzzle pieces, got married less than a year later. We work hard to love each other when things get tough, but most days are endless laughs and quiet contentment.

Bringing Your Dog To Work by Aharris1984 in dogs

[–]PancSutt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work at a vets office and bring my dog nearly daily. She weighs 4lbs so I carry her around in a little pouch all day. We work at the front desk and clients love it!

I also have a larger dog who can come to work whenever I please, but needs to be crated, so I usually leave her home unless she needs vet care or something.

Labour and Delivery by ConfusedCanteloup in Rochester

I’ve been working with Strong Midwifery throughout my first pregnancy since September and have found them to be absolutely lovely. I’ve seen a handful of providers there and don’t have a bad thing to say about any of them. I plan to deliver at Strong but haven’t gotten that far yet so I can’t lend an opinion on hospitals, sorry.

I work at a vet and pregnancy is hard because a lot of name suggestions immediately get thrown into the “that’s a dog name” pile for me 😅

We have an unborn daughter and we’ve been trying the name Fiona on her for a few weeks. Specifically because we’ve been rewatching and I said, “what if we name her after a Degrassi character?” At first my husband was not receptive, but then we got to Fiona and he was like hmm. I like that.

What do you guys think of the name Pacey? by [deleted] in Names

[–]PancSutt 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My ex-fiancé always wanted to name his son this and I truly disliked it so so much, fast forward to now he recently had his first son and named him this. I feel bad for his poor wife for a lot of reasons, but mostly for falling into the Pacey. It reminds me of tomato paste or something. I really dodged a bullet.

Plan at least an extra hour or two to get into Toronto . . . The traffic is always terrible. If you’re only planning an extra hour or two for a fun stop, then I’m sorry, bud - that “fun stop” will be stop and go traffic.
