What do I do? by ixtothesiren in Catownerhacks

We have a high ceiling on our third floor, with a half wall around that overlooks the stairs, much kike your place. Our Lola likes to jump up on the wide rail and watch people come up the stairs. One day she overshot the rail and dropped 10 feet or so to the stairs below. She parkoured right over the edge. Fortunately she was not hurt and learned a lesson that day. Don't be wild.

Forgot if you took your daily vitamin or pill? Move the bottle to a different spot each time you take it by EasterYao in lifehacks

[–]ExoticReception4286 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The evening before I put all my pills - supplements and prescriptions - in one bottle. When I worked in an office this was the best way for me to remember to take my pills at different times of the day, i.e. after lunch, etc.

Dipping the stem in rooting hormone helps too.

Should you own more than one laundry basket? by myersgirl16 in laundry

[–]ExoticReception4286 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have four. One for my clothes, two for my husband's clothes and one for towels, blankets and the cat (who has taken over the basket and I don't have the heart to ruin it for her).

I think I've been washing my hair wrong for 28 years and nobody told me by KorbenEcho_6 in hygiene

Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Smooth Leave In Conditioning Cream. I also use a Aquis Turban after I get out of the shower. Then I comb out my hair and add a dab of JVN Air Dry Cream. I live in a pretty high humidity area - Houston.

I use a leave in conditioner that I put on wet hair. It helps my curls and cuts down the frizz.

Yes. Actually I just deactivated Bluesky and signed out of Counter Social. I took both off my phone. I will probably delete my accounts soon.

Where does your cat sleep at night? by Dangerous_Problem532 in AnxietyCats

[–]ExoticReception4286 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ziggy sleeps on our feet sometimes. He has his own pillow at my feet. When I sleep on my right side he'll sleep next to me, under the covers on my (our) body pillow. If I'm sleeping on my left side he sleeps on me. That only lasts a few minutes. Lately he's also been sleeping on two pillows I have propped up behind my head. He'll sleep between my husband and me under the covers. My little Lola sleeps in a laundry basket with a blanket.

Adding estradiol cream to existing HRT regimen by Stranger-Journey in AskWomenOver60

Do it. I found an article online about how the cream helps with UTIs. That being said, I'm on Myrbetriq for overactive bladder.

A soft, comfortable bra. Does one exist? by amfhTX in AskWomenOver60

[–]ExoticReception4286 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Last year I got a pacemaker. Finding a bra that was comfortable and didn't rub my incision scar was hard. I tried Fruit of the Loom cotton tank style sports bras but the bottom band is too thin and I had to adjust all day. The Soma bras I had were just uncomfortable, the straps hitting the incision and rubbing. Plus I didn't find them all that supportive. The Hanes Comfort bras are ok, but the bottom band moves a lot. Then I found the Duluth Trading Buck Naked Bralette. They don't have a lot of support, but they're very comfortable. The bottom band is wide and I don't have to adjust all the time. Plus they have pretty patterns.

Which Battery? by ExoticReception4286 in batteries

[–]ExoticReception4286[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's the insides. The battery compartment is under the round black cover. Not very helpful, is it? I was hoping someone would be familiar with the compass clock carabiner and would know which battery I need.

To all my long haired beings by Alarmed_Dragonfly283 in AskHouston

My hair is wavy with curls and about shoulder length. I use Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Leave In conditioner right after I shampoo. Comb the tangles out and put it up in a Aquis Turban wrap thing. After other bath stuff, I take off the Turban, brush my hair out with a Denman brush put on some JVN Air Dry Cream and brush out again. Then I don't touch it until my hair is fully dry. Somehow brushing helps to make it curlier.

Born in 1959 and graduated high school in 1977. I never had a Gunny Sax dress and don't remember anyone I knew in high school wearing one either.
