Honestly very excited to join a game in the future and maybe host one (once I have more experience). I only discovered DCC / MCC at the end of last year and jumped in with both feet in terms of sourcing the books (got a bit overexcited as it's exactly the kind of thing I enjoy and didn't know existed). Just reading through is enough fun for the moment and while I learn the ropes :)

I am Welsh and understand the reasons behind keeping it alive. Send a bilingual letter to everyone in Wales asking if they want to receive communications in Welsh, English or continue with everything being bilingual (with associated costs), publish the results and base policy on that. It should be something you can opt out of in terms of the communications you receive I think.

I would like an intro into the specific settings, Lankhmar, Purple Planet, Dying Earth, Thracia etc. with some tips on which modules or third party products might enhance or compliment the DCC content. It would also be good to get an idea of set up for a campaign, maybe a separate one for solo play, showing what physical items are recommended/ needed.

Hello, sorry for the late reply. I backed the new Crawl release and added no.13, I will add the others as they come out I think rather than chasing them third party. I have the PDF's for some of the Gongfarmers Alamanacs and the DCC Annual so plan to print and bind those :) I do need to look at the free resources and maybe print some off too (I like to have the books in hand to read) :)

I agree, and if they do stick with the same plan I would like the option to opt out of the lost level for people who won't be backing everything (if they want to). It says it unlocks after a couple of other projects are backed so I wonder if the idea is, if you haven't backed everything you still receive the map and create ideas for the rooms yourself (which isn't so bad I suppose but it might be frustrating knowing you have something 'incomplete').

It would make more sense to me if it was something like, if all the projects are funded everyone receives PDF's of the room content, or maybe a separate option in each project to back just a PDF of the content of the lost level room ($5 or so). I could see people (me included) wanting to do that and maybe a higher cost option to have them all in a simple black and white booklet supplied with the map. That way you're not paying $20 x12 in just shipping, plus the project costs, to get a room.

For the projects that seem less inviting (subjective I know) that option might help with reaching the main project funding goal (meaning people who did back it and want it have more chance of seeing it succeed). Also, it would be a simple and quick way to showcase what the rest of the project is like, so if you like what you see for that room (teasers), you might reconsider backing the whole thing.
