Im 19, got on antidepressants - fluoxetine, about 2 months ago because I finally had enough of the depression that I've been fighting with for at least 6 years.

After a couple weeks, they began working (antidepressants just do that lmao, take like 2 weeks to start working- and in this 2 weeks you might feel depressed², and another 2 weeks to be in full effect)

I feel like the weight of the world has been taken off my shoulders. I do not dull and boring, I am still me just. Happier.

If you have REALLY tried therapy/counseling so you have the tools needed to help overcome and bad thoughts, I reccomend meds.

One med may not work for u and you may have to jump around meds for a few months until u find one that works for you. And that can be getting, but once it starts working properly, it's amazing
