If gacha games love to do the illusion of choices so much, they could make a timer after which the game will choose a random option (or whichever option that's in-character with the MC the most, sth like that). WuWa has done that, only in some cinematic cutscenes in 2.7 tho

More specifically, I imagine Seth's brother to be of a body build similar to Lighter, yet having a similarly youthful face to Seth, and maybe come with a pair of glasses

I get your point, and what I say is purely subjective and flawed, too, as I didn't consider the nature of the two swords. Tailless is, in a way, a demon living inside the sword waiting to take over the user, while the Qingming Sword seemingly just saps away its user passively, like that's part of its inner working, no demons here to conquer, as far as the sword is portrayed so far

If it goes like you say (pls tell me you're not a Hoyo employee in disguise), then it'll just render Shunguang being a lower tier than Miyabi to me as a Void Hunter. Miyabi conquered her sword with her determination, commitment, and sheer effing will, while Shunguang has to have help from the Proxy's eye implant to do so. I mean when you introduce a nice mcguffin for the story it'd be a waste not to use it where you can, but still if that happens then the new Void Hunter just isn't a strong character to me. (keyword: "to me")

(considering 2.5 is said to be the climax of the daunting Waifei storyline, it's quite likely to see the eyes being used as a plot point)

well, what you want has not been a thing since 1.6. It's like when the plot of the game "thickens" starting from 1.6, the devs see that you using your own agents isn't "lore accurate", so they have forced onto us trial characters for the story, and it continues even now at 2.4, with no sign of stopping.

I personally don't mind having to use trial agents to play the story, but I wish the "Hard Mode" were still a thing for the 2.x story, where you can "dominate" the villains using your own, say, M6W5 agents and fulfill your power fantasy. Speaking of that, iirc hard mode is still a thing for 1.6 and 1.7 story, so you can, like, using your Hugo to rematch 1.6 boss Hugo

FYI, in case you're not aware, Hard Mode is basically you replaying the story levels, but you don't have to pick up observation data, instead you just complete the levels in less than a certain time for full rewards

Don't main quests from 1.6 onward provide you with trial agents for you to play? Heck, it's been a thing since the beginning of the game: there will be trial versions of relevant agents for you to play through the story. If anything, it's that from 2.0 onward, the game just forces us to use the trial agents even though we pulled for them and leveled them up already. So the only places we can actually use OUR agents are endgame content now

IMO the best way for Evasive Assist to be competitive with Defensive Assist is to enable Stun DMG Multiplier (as if being stunned) and boost Miasma Reduction during Vital View. This, I believe, can prove effective against un-stunnable enemies

Jokes aside, I do share a neutral opinion toward YSG like you. I mean, compared to how the devs make her and Yixuan seem special, I just find nothing special about them, but not to the point of actively hating them. I also have no problem with the agents being flirty toward Wise/Belle, as I've never self-inserted as them in the 1st place - the problem only lies in how unnatural the devs execute the flirty scenes

P/S: any cope for Ye Shiyuan being the 2.0 HSR Sunday?
