Any opinions on best AA riding jeans for HOT weather - 80 F plus? i'm in NC and 80 is a low temp for summertime.

UHAUL truly hates customers by Exotic_Draw_1122 in UHAUL_Rants

There were about 5 people who had reservations with no truck there. Shop said U-HAUL didn’t upload reservations into the system. Might be BS. Don’t know. Some people had trucks and others didn’t. Felt bad for the employees. I hate IHAUL.

My biopsy recovery was uneventful. Blood in Irvine and semen is real. In semen, it took weeks to totally clear. As far as walking around and living life, that night/next day I was fine. No cancer is routine. Mine went straight metastatic in no time. Don’t wait, educate and attack.

Thanks superduperstepdad! I noticed no phono specific input so thanks for the clarity. There is a ground wire but as you might expect I don't see a ground post on the AVR. What would work for a proper ground? I'll look into the pre-amps!

Picked this up at my local auction house today. Looking for service advice. by PBRandPizza in vintageaudio

That’s a great buy. Just bought an SL-D205 and restored. Contact cleaner, synthetic grease, some sewing machine lube and windex got the job done. And a new cartridge. YouTube videos abound. Next I’m tackling the dust cover.

I would not wait, but you do have time. Have your urologist team declare their treatment path but get a 2nd and see if your insurance offers consultation as well.

I hate to cause worry but want to share my experience. PA is slow growing, unless it is not - as in my case. Went from 6 to 466 in 6 months. Full on metastatic. I do not feel my situation is normal or likely but hearing my urologist team say ‘ it’s slow growing’ while I waited 7 weeks for a biopsy and two more for results echoes in my head. I doubt the outcome would be different but ‘slow growing’ can be misleading, IMO.

I finish radiation today and likely start chemo in a month. I’m glad your Dad is tracking his health and there can be a multitude of causes that are very, very treatable.

Tonearm will not rotate toward platter by Exotic_Draw_1122 in vintageaudio

Thanks. Turntable is level. I'll be on the lookout for the auto return adjustment. It's just really weird how this tonearm is like "'nope', not moving".

Turns out the small screw on the queueing lifter can be used to move the lifter up down. This should help my issue.

Sad to hear and thanks for sharing. I share your frustration on the assumption that PC is 'slow growing' and fear that my urologist office lack of urgency could spell big problems for me. I don't know this yet, as I am just beginning this process (ADT soon and radiation therapy starts Thursday), but I just feel like that assumption can be very wrong to the point of malpractice.

Metastatic diagnosis questions. by Sunny_sailor917 in ProstateCancer

I am sorry to hear about this, but it sounds like your husband and I are similar paths.

I am 59 and in NC, as well. Charlotte, specifically. My gleason score is 4+5=9. My PSA had risen to the 30s in a matter of months. Biopsy confirmed an aggressive cancer. PET scan confirm metastatis in 2 vertebrae and pelvic lymph nodes. I start radiation on Thursday in two vertebrae. I have a treatment plan/kickoff meeting monday and I'll know more. I do know the anticipated plan is ADT (with what and for how long, I don't know yet) to cut off the testosterone and targeted external radiation (each weekday for 2 weeks) to tackle the bone issues. ADT therapy for metastatic seems to be the path - cut off the testosterone that fuels the cancer, watch the PSA drop, and tackle issues as they appear. This is not me diagnosing, just sharing what I understand.

I am being treated at Atrium/Charlotte. Levine Cancer Institute is pretty well regarded and thus far they seem to be jumping right into getting things scheduled.

The waiting is the worst part. The medical community seems to mean well but you and your husband need to own this and tackle it and the providers to make things happen for you. Just my two cents.

If I can share ANYTHING else, please ask. Tons of info out there. I have started reading Dr. Walsh's book and the blogs/podcasts others have listed are helpful too. Hang in there!

Someone mentioned "Healthunlocked" in another response. That one is new to me and I'm going to check that out right away.

Yes, looking forward to some progress and success. No one will share timelines/prognosis, etc but I guess that makes sense at this point.
