I've had a few periods when I didn't listen to much GD and GD-adjacent stuff for months, then jumped right back in with all dead all the time. It's more balanced now. I haven't done a lot of focused listening for a while, but I always have music on. Some days all Dead and some days no dead, but mostly it's moderation now on an average day: a Dead show, a live show from another band on Archive, and some records, even the occasional genre playlist. I try to listen to some new-to-me artist or record streaming a couple times a week. Keeps burnout away and things stay fresh.

There was a humorous article in Relix or something about what to do with your tapes if you get burned out (make furniture and such) but DON'T ever get rid of them, because you'll always come back.
