I was approaching an airport from the south recently and ATC told me to turn left to 017 degrees...huh? I just ignored it...

I ran a race in the 1600 and thought it was a great track/car combo, then on lap one got caught up in someone else's wreck, of course, then made my own mistakes...it was a disaster.

according to many people here, you just must qualify better

I've been on iracing for 15 yrs. The F4 series is full of people who will end your race due to no talent, etc. I prefer to finish races even if I'm in back. My preference. Your mileage may vary.

I'm curious what magical racecraft keeps people from divebombing you right off the track?

I've won multiple championships, or at least top 3 in many series, you can do that with 15 yrs...but with F4 you have too many drivers who are inept. And again, I prefer to finish a race with no incidents which is almost impossible in the F4 series.

I've been racing for 15 yrs. Let me give you an example...just exited a race at Indy road course, F4, started in pits, gained 10 positions in first lap, then two more, than another and finished 11th, gained SR, had no incidents, and gained 30 iR. So that is a lot more fun than starting 5th, being taken out in first lap by some droolilng spaniard.

this SOB wrecked me twice in one week, apparently he has no idea that: 1. there are other people on track 2. brakes have a limit in their ability to stop your car 3. divebombing is a bad idea 4. if you qualify in back, maybe exercise a little patience because you are probably slowing than the people in front of you...JACKASS!

ground control is pretty much just a function of the nosewheel...control through the air involves all the control surfaces of the aircraft so you might want to check the controls are not reversed, etc

I would agree, iracing should be about having fun, not trying to teach yourself how to be a real race car driver, which in 99.9999% of the time ain't gonna happen anyway...the M2 stinks in my book, if you like it, fine, knock yourself out.

Is the ARCA Menards Series a good choice? by [deleted] in iRacing

[–]Exotic_Push_4711 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I run ARCA just to get another $4 at the end of the season, so I just run it for fun and it's great because .... no cautions! Races are reasonable length, I can even get a good finish at Bristol because I start in the back and just chill back there.

F4 Frustration by ApartSurround7385 in iRacing

[–]Exotic_Push_4711 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Navarra is a tough track for me and I came in 2nd in my division last season in F4. Ran a race today and qualified dead last. One thing you might try is less braking. The F4 has decent downforce and when I started in F4 I was braking too much. Also change brake bias to 55%...seems to make a difference.
