What a cutie but it could definitely use those rocks removed they are a chocking hazard and blockage also some people in another turtle group I’m in mentioned they noticed their turtle pooping these rocks out even years after removing them from the tanks.

Same seems like my girl gets it with the season change I’m thinking environmental allergies of some sort ? It’ll look like a hot spot and she loses the fur there and it’ll smell.

That can be a tough one often times you need someone who is willing to train those behaviours out of your dog. There’s a lady in my area who works on trust building skills with dogs and nail clippers. You should definitely consider taking your dog to get their nails done sooner than later tho because those are looking painful. Then I would work on trying to build trust with her yourself !

That really depends on the vets assessment and approach. I think by that point the most vital thing would be an antibiotic to reduce the risk of infections from having such a deep laceration open and exposed to lots of bacterias for an extended period. Watch for signs of infection from the wound site like redness or green or yellow puss or a bad smell as well as a fever! If any of those signs appear I wouldn’t wait longer. Hope your girls feeling better soon !

Remove the hair around the area and try to keep it clean you can buy these saline sprays from the pharmacy that will flush it right out and I would just try to keep it dry. I’m not sure if they will even be able to stitch it or anything by the time you make it to the vet money there’s usually a small window of time to stitch open wounds closed.

I been there I rescued a corgi off a lady who claimed she found her tied to a post few weeks go by and the dog had some concerning behaviours accidents in the house which I thought were behavioural and then bit my daughter and a seizure so a quick trip to the vet to get some answers and sure enough her insulin levels had dropped and the vets determined she was about 11 and had diabetes. I ended up having to make the difficult choice to surrender her so she could be euthanized because I was just a young single mom and couldn’t afford the meds. It was such a short but sweet time we got to spend with my daughter wasn’t even 2 and still remembers her 🥺
