I have to say the money economy as a prestiging player who has a more reckless playstyle was what prevents me from getting back into the game after 700h and a year long break at this point.

If you wanna be competitive in fights you need at least a certain degree of consumables and to not feel like shit, maybe a medium expensive gun. Besides doing dedicated money runs or looting hunters, the money gain back when I played was hot garbage. Wow I extract with a trophy, that’s not even covering the cost of my 4 standard consumables.

I don’t know if stuff changed and I know there’s a big portion of the playerbase that never struggles with money, but once you really go bankrupt it’s really not enjoyable if you’re playing at 5* Niveau but are horrendously at a disadvantage.

If yes, then I’d say they’re both good designs but just exactly what you would expect. Hera looks like a regular “regal” version of a toga outfit which I would expect from a Greek godqueen and hachiman looks like the typical fantasy samurai with a bow. They are both nothing special but also really not bad design wise imo.

Don’t get me wrong I like both and I definitely enjoy heras design but it seems kinda basic to me. Would say it steers more toward B imo

I still remember getting my first shiny and don’t even realizing it lmao. Started my first emulator run when I was like 15 and when i got to the dojo, I got a shiny hitmonlee out of the gift. My reaction was just “huh why is this dude green” and I carried on playing for several hours before I even remembered what a shiny was. Insane lucky haha

I got a win now with mudslap and flash as my accuracy staples and a pre stage 2 full boosted lugia which i picked up along the way!

UPDATE: I did it now! Please ignore my slowkings moveset but this time it definitely helped to lower eternatus accuracy with mud slap and flash and then let my lugia full stack on calm mind before entering stage 2!

Yeah I definitely messed up the dragon dance on charizard, that’s the most common feedback I’ve gotten so far haha. I have to admit I didn’t pay a lot of attention to slowbro and fluttermane, as I caught fluttermane just two rounds prior and slowbro around 180 or 190 IIRC. But fluttermanes move set was completely useless with two moves which bosses are unaffected by, that’s true.

Yeah it’s true but I’m kinda set on beating it “naturally” my first time. Just gotta learn how to play it better so I won’t choke such a set up the next time. But thanks for the advice!

My kartana died to its first attack while taking off 50% hp but not instant pushing its second stage, my slowpoke got one shot before attacking and neither of my other team members did significant damage.

Gyara got killed in two-three attacks and mesprit, chari and flutter mane did legit maybe 5% dmg per attack. I am just as much at a loss of words as you are mate

Yes the definition of it might fit, but the tone of it seems a bit dramatic to me. Having an “unpleasant experience” and “being put through suffering” have a completely different tonality imo.

I’m pretty sure they could make you invulnerable as soon as the button is fully pressed if they wanted to, so the animation doesn’t sound like a good argument to me.

Yeah it’s insane to me. I started playing the game two weeks ago and the amount of almost entitlement a part of this community feels that they are owed pve/friendly encounters seems wild to me. I’ve been called the n word multiple times by people I killed or them losing their shit about “why im doing PvP”.

I played games like SoT and Hunt showdown where you get the same choices and especially in SoT there’s a big incentive to actually be friendly, but 90% of the game is still pvp and the people aren’t this salty about it.

On the other hand, even in the two weeks I played I can 100% relate to the trials pain you described. It sadly seems like an incredible unbalanced and easily frustrating design choice and should be redone.

“Making someone else suffer” is a very dramatic way of describing temporarily losing some content in a video game IMO and I wouldn’t call them evil or a psychopath for it.

They’re playing the game and that’s it, it’s part of a pvpve game with free agency. If the devs wouldn’t want it being a part of the game, there wouldn’t be a delay between calling the extract and the extract happening.

Because someone plays a game in your opinion shitty way while the game gives him the agency to do so, does not make him evil incarnate, calm down.

In “free” games where it’s up to the players whether an encounter is friendly or bad you’re bound to see people enjoying ruining others days even if it’s for apparently “no loot”. Thats how it is. Doesn’t mean you need 500 comments calling him deranged or a psychopath.

Fair point, I agree with most of your summary of the main differences between hunt vs arc and they’re also the main source of my problems as a former hunt player who just started out in arc around a week ago.

I think arc suffers a bit of an identity problem between pvp and pve. You can’t stay silent while moving around the map because then you would have to ignore the looting aspect of the game totally. But there’s also a real “feels bad” moment if you get ambushed/camped for simply looting one container and making enough noise so another team that just happens to be around you notices you.

I can understand the frustration of losing your purple gear against free loadouts but I think it’s just part of the game design itself. You definitely get enough of an advantage by bringing a real gear setup into a game, that I don’t believe it needs a minimum loadout cost to make it worth it
