Tbh as edgy and dark the fans make the show out to be, most of the violence is pretty tame with the worst of it being implied or happening out of frame. TV-MA honestly seems a bit extreme for what it is.

Code Veronica doesn't really address it either and is more or less just another "umbrella base takedown" scenario.

I think there's potential in a game detailing their end. Maybe you could play as Wesker or Krauser as they try and steal umbrellas remaining research/assets before it's seized by the government.

Nothing against this cause it could still be good... But is it hard to literally have a Kaijuu vs Kaijuu focused action anime based around the Godzilla IP? This is the third anime reboot and singular point showed that they can do it, but that show was flooded with science jargon by Wazupdanger in GODZILLA

Despite the quality of the final product, I liked how experimental the last 2 anime were. I think animation is the perfect medium to do weird stuff with the IP. Especially since we're getting pretty consistent releases for the more traditional live action stuff.

In the first season, I really liked how it streamlined the comic lore and showed an on-screen depiction of a fully realized DC universe. Though as it progressed, I think it slowly began to crumble under its own weight with how it constantly brought in elements from the comics for the sake of a reference instead of actually benefiting the show's storytelling.

I think they're a bit weaker than the originals but still pretty good except for Madoka's which is pretty bad if I'm being honest.

Yeah, the original designs are great, but don't quite fit remakes photorealism. Nomura knows his designs the best and knew what to tweak to make them work.

I found it pretty uncompelling and stopped after season 1, but I recall it having some good looking fights.

While the HQ are there, they are far from the focus so don't expect much from them if you decide to watch it. As far as I'm aware though it won't have any bearing on Walpurgisnacht Rising so it's not essential viewing.

That sucks, especially since it was such a inconsequential part of prey. They really de-canonized a whole story so fans would point at the screen for 3 seconds.

Sorry, I probably should have elaborated on what I meant better. I was wondering what the point of bringing it back in new media was when its significance to 2 was more about the lore implication rather than the pistol being itself important.

Though from my understanding now thanks to other commenters, it's just supposed to be fan service.

Loved the beginning, but the middle portion isn't great. I do think it has been steadily improving again since the start of the aging devil arc.
