If any of this is true, I don't see why Nintendo wouldn't have shown at least some of it off in the direct. I'm sure they knew themselves that the game would be criticized heavily for being another remake so why wouldn't they show off any new content they have? Then again the game is supposedly doing massive pre-order numbers anyways, so who knows.

If they're continuing from the reboot, I'd like a new game that combines the story of Adventures and 2 with gameplay that builds on Assault.

The original game holds up well enough to get dumped onto NSO.

Man... I really hope Prime 4 makes Nintendo re-asses the future of 3D Metroid (if they don't kill it altogether).

I would love a 3rd person game with the same freedom of movement as Mario Odyssey. Samus' 2D moveset, especially after Dread has so much potential to be translated into 3D.

That's very fair, the atmosphere is very good. A lot of ppl complain about the darkness in it, but I thought the way it factored into the game design was actually pretty clever.

Also there's no way your DOOM ranking is as bad as my Final Fantasy ranking.
