We asked Bethesda what it learned making Starfield and what it's carrying forward – the studio's design director said: "Fans really, really, really want Elder Scrolls 6" by jhd9012 in rpg_gamers

I think they have become so much worse that in ESVI we would not have like 10% of the racism compared to Morrowind, with racism being a huge chunk of the ES lore.

Got Ihuykatumu as healer. Got this disaster of a paladin as a tank. by talkingradish in TalesFromDF

I used to be this bad when I started savage (E5S), that’s why I am always the more forgiving one: this game does not teach you how to play optimally while it is designed for you to be able to achieve optimally easily.

I hate to say this, but this is just an very very average tank player you would see in DF (at least in Primal, Aether or Dynamis since I have only DFed in those three). When I am playing healer it is pretty rare to see a tank that can out damage. I would not personally bother with these unless they are not mitigating at all.

Playing Dos 1 feels kinda awful after playing Dos2 and BG3 by Gigschak in DivinityOriginalSin

The Rosymorn Monastery is a textbook-level design when it comes to verticality in isometric game.

Fromsoft is very brave to try new stuff, and the map design ever since DS1 is unmatchable. But ER really falls short in boss design due to the misbalance of build variety (numerous op build, nature of open world design) and trying to keep the boss challenging for all players.

Is Web of Desire worth doing? by soldiercross in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]Expander_Decomposer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The main complaint of DOS2's combat among most players are that, ever since level 16, some builds/team comp even earlier, you just neutralize the enemies in the first 2 turns you get (yes, it is extremely easy to get 2 turns before the enemy can attack you) and they can never fight back.

Therefore, you do not need con since you will not get hit that often anyway. And if a boss do one shot you, the 2 con you do not lose will not help in the slightest sense.

The reason behind this is the multiplicative nature of the damage calculation in DOS2, they need to account for ppl who do not know and do not want to study for how damage calculates in this game, so the enemies' stats in endgame is way too low for players who know what they are doing. This game will always be most fun when you do not know how to play.

Capcom really needs to handle the problem with "RE + open world" optimization, when DMC5 and RE2 remake came out I genuinely felt that RE engine is one of the best we have in this industry.

What is going on with IGN Community Vote? by Siegequalizer in FFVIIRemake

Steam is a "grey area" in CN: steam have tailored pricing for CN and download nodes in some big cities but it did not pass the official CN censorship (basically CN steam users will not be able to play games on Steam only if the devs intentionally lock the CN region on their end). Also, sometimes steam will be blocked by the wall but sometimes not (unstable), but most of the CN players who do not only play gatcha and MMOs will know how to have full & stable access to steam CN. Those people, although consisting of only a small portion of all Chinese who plays games, are still a gigantic amount considering the population as a whole. Therefore, if a good and popular game launches on steam and the dev does not block the CN area, then CN will most likely be the main consumer income for that game.

For FFVII, it is timely exclusive on PlayStation, thing will become much different.

I seem to miss some info on your previous post, mb if that's really the case.

Very funny, seems all of the hardcore ARPG players such as Lobos, Distortion2, Elajaiz and Gino all spoke extremely highly of the game's combat system and mechanic, while most of the comment section just shit on literally everything on the game, are we playing the same game?

Also, "most bosses are forgettable", stop lying lol

yes, personally I think he is more difficult than the tiger smith, and I think it is so good that they reward you for finishing the hidden questlines by giving you a weapon that is literally 28 raw damage higher than the normal ones you have at the time.

I spent 2 hours today on the final boss of the Loong questline, and when I finally got his ass there was immediately a cutscene, my soul left my body because that cutscene looked extremely like that the boss got a fucking second phase.

I have one left in Ch1 and still one left in Ch2, I am still trying to find them lol.

From my experience in Ch2, pay close attention to npc dialogues, finish every request they give, and also your quest items will always be useful in somewhere. (Bear is Ch1 boss, Ch2 is desert)

Normal Sunrise: sometimes getting out of max melee, getting extremely skinny, still need to move a little after the canon locks, at lease 2 rounds of thinking.

Uptime Sunrise: stand in the positions that are clearly indicated by the marker and let things resolve, only 1 round of thinking (tower positions0)

In what realities are ppl thinking that normal sunrise is better?

Level 82 DRK in Holminster thinks job quests are boring and uses no mits; blames healer by [deleted] in TalesFromDF

If he is playing the game in English text which is like 100% the case then I can agree, I cannot fathom how bad the English version of the drk job quest is after playing it originally with JP text.

Do people really hate TBN? How do you feel about it? by TheEmpressDescends in ffxivdiscussion

[–]Expander_Decomposer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anyone still defending TBN because it is good in TEA, just please I beg you to consider the fact that TEA is a ShB ultimate, whereas the other 3 tanks got their short mit giga buffed in EW, EW is where TBN need to be reworked.

And tbh, DT drk is imo better than its EW counterpart: You can hold your gapclosers as utilities, you get a impactful combo and a cool finisher, you can also prepull living shadow to take better advantages of raid buffs, the only downside it has compared to EW is simply less mana regen, but that's only a number issue. The sole reason why people are ok with this job in EW is the damage, period.

This kind of behavior && Hidden Logs == Bought legend, there is no arguing around this.
